A movie about robots?? We're in!

Steven Spielberg is set to direct Robopocalypse, a movie based on the novel by Daniel H. Wilson

The movie is said to be about "exploring the fate of the human race following a robot uprising. It "embodies an imaginative story of a robot rebellion unleashed against the human race," said producer Mark Sourian. "This is a project we immediately sparked to and with Steven directing it we knew it was in the best possible hands to bring it to worldwide audiences."

The screenplay has been adapted for the screen by Drew Goddard and will be produced by DreamWorks.

Spielberg will begin shooting in January 2012 and plans to release the film in 2013.

We still don't know too much about it, but this movie sounds awesome!!

What do U think?

Kanye West's Album Cover Art NOT Banned?

kanye wests new album artwork not banned by wal mart

Did U do this for attention, Kanye?

Earlier in the week, Kanye tweeted that Wal-Mart banned the cover art for his upcoming album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, but Wal-Mart is denying it.

Here's a statement released by Wal-Mart on the subject:

"We're excited about Kanye West's new album and we look forward to carrying it in our stores on November 22nd. As always, it's our standard practice to carry the edited parental advisory version. We did not reject the cover artwork and it was never presented to us to view."

If Kanye's goal was to get publicity, then all we can say is…goal achieved!

Do U think Kanye was behind all the album artwork drama?

bush daughters attend unicef masquerade

A flapper and a dark angel, huh? Could have gone a little easier on the makeup, but the important thing is you're having a good time!

Former first daughters Jenna Bush Hager and Barbara Bush were on hand at the first Annual UNICEF Masquerade Ball in N.Y.C. last night. The girls even took time out to pose with Caryl Stern, head of UNICEF.

Nice! Having fun for a good cause! Lovely!

Is RiRi Not Going To Russell And Katy's Wedding?

Posted: 22 Oct 2010 04:30 PM PDT

This is strange.

Although all of the guests of Katy Perry and Russell Brand's upcoming nuptials have been in India since the beginning of the week, Rihanna was spotted leaving a restaurant in El Lay yesterday!

What gives?? Is she not going to be in attendance?

We hope she can make it! We're sure Katy wouldn't want such a close friend to be missing on such an important day!

Thoughts??

Liam Neeson Takes Over Mel's Hangover Cameo!

liam neeson replaces mel in hangover 2

This is a MUCH better idea!

After Warner Bros' misguided decision to cast Mel Gibson in a cameo in The Hangover 2 went horribly awry, the studio decided to let him go and cast somebody slightly less polarizing…Liam Neeson!

Here's what Neeson had to say about his role in Hangover 2:

"I just got a call to do a one day shoot on 'Hangover' as a tattooist in Thailand … that's all I know about it."

We couldn't be happier to see Neeson taking on this role. We're sure he's going to be absolutely HIGHlarious!

Do U think Warner Bros made the right decision here? Or would U have liked to see Mel play the role?

This is going to be HAWT HAWT HAWT!

Robyn is getting ready to release her latest album this year, Body Talk 3.0, which will not only feature select tracks from her previous two albums this year, but also new material, including a new collaboration with Max Martin called Time Machine!

If your recall, the famed producer worked with the singer on her debut album back in the day, and was behind her breakout track Show Me Love!

Fantastic! It's like she's come full circle!

We cannot wait to hear this track, bb!

We just know it's gong to be effing FIERCE!

Bones Spinoff On Its Way!

Posted: 22 Oct 2010 04:00 PM PDT

bones spinoff is on the way

We're always skeptical about spinoffs, but maybe this one will be solid!

Looks like Fox is moving forward with plans for a Bones spinoff. They'll start casting for the series shortly!

If they find the right actor, they'll premiere the new show's lead character, Walter Sherman, on the December 6 episode of Bones.

The Bones creator/executive is basing the new show off a series of books called The Locator.

The story revolves around Walter Sherman, an "eccentric, obstreperous and amusing reclusive man in his late 20s-30s with highly sought after abilities to find anything."

Sherman is connected to the Bones characters because he served in Iraq with David Boreanaz' Agent Booth. As for Emily Deschanel's Dr. Brennan…she finds him "very intriguing."

Seems like an inneresting enough character. We'll be curious to see what actor gets cast in the role.

Would U like to watch a Bones spinoff?

Russell Simmons Calls Courtney Love A Crackhead!

We thought they were pals!

Guess not, because when randomly asked about Courtney Love at the launch party for his new Oxygen series Running Russell Simmons, he called her a "crackhead" for posting nude pictures of herself on Twitter.

He continued:

"I think she is a sweet girl…It's probably exciting to be a crackhead, I wouldn't say I was a crackhead but I did smoke a lot of crack. I had fun smoking a lot of angel dust…Right now I'm a monk. I'm boring."

Umm, what???

When word got back to Courtney that Russell had called her a crackhead, she responded, "I'm fairly insulted that he associates me with that drug. What does that mean?"

Yeah, we don't even know ourselves, Courtney.

John Mellencamp Defends Sarah Palin's Brain

john mellencamp defends sarah palins intelligence and politics savy

Hurts so good bad! This is a little diddy we never thought we'd hear.

Legendary singer John Mellencamp has come forward in defense of Sarah Palin and her, wait for it, intelligence.

In a recent interview, he told sources that he thinks she "knows exactly what's she doing" and "she wouldn't be where she is today if she didn't." He insists that people jump to conclusions to quickly about her smarts, simply "because she says things and winks."

The winking is a bit of an IQ dropper.

Though he doesn't agree with her political stance, he also admits he gives her credit for all she has been able to accomplish over the last 2 years, explaining "she's pushing the right buttons" and "you can't be stupid and do that."

Oh, we beg to differ on that, but if you say so.

AWKWARD.

Jessica Simpson and her new boyfriend Eric Johnson were treated to a pretty horrific surprise last night, when they arrived at The Red O restaurant in El Lay and discovered that her ex-husband, Nick Lachey, was dining there with girlfriend Vanessa Minnillo!

Eek!

However, sources claim that what could have been a really ugly situation was actually quite calm, because the two barely interacted!

Insiders say:

"They didn't interact. They didn't even come to face-to-face with each other. Jessica was more fazed by the amount of paparazzi than anything else."

Well that's good!

It's nice to know that even though those two had a pretty messy split, that they can remain civil and amicable in the presence of each other!
