It's Official! Russell Brand And Katy Perry Are Husband And Wife Posted: 23 Oct 2010 04:57 PM PDT Probably one of the most anticipated weddings of the year has finally happened! Katy Perry and Russell Brand tied the knot at a luxury resort Saturday night in India. The couple released a statement saying: "[Russell and Katy] were pronounced Mr. and Mrs. Brand on Saturday, October 23. The very private and spiritual ceremony, attended by the couples' closest family and friends was performed by a Christian minister and longtime friend of the Hudson Family. The backdrop was the inspirational and majestic countryside of Northern India." The ceremony was said to be extravagant as two elephants named Laxmi and Mala walked down the couple's red carpet during the wedding procession, known as the "bharat." Traditional Rajasthani folk musicians performed using Indian instruments, including the sitar, santoor, the tabla, and kettle drums. The couple also treated their guests to many live performances, shopping trips, and even a safari on days leading up to the wedding. Their wedding sounds so exotic and absolutely lovely! Lindsay: "I'm Broke And Powerless!" Posted: 23 Oct 2010 02:40 PM PDT We're sorry to hear this, Lindsay…but at least you didn't get jail time??? According to Lindsay Lohan's probation report, she admits to feeling powerless against her addiction, and she is broke. Looks like the probation report was an influence in Judge Elden Fox's decision to send Lindsay back to rehab, instead of jail. Here's an excerpt from the probation report: "The defendant was motivated to look at some of the problems in her life, however, there was some denial regarding her drug addiction. He feels that the longer the defendant is at the Betty Ford Center the better." More from the report: "After the positive drug test with the probation department, Mr. Richman indicates the defendant finally began to talk about feeling powerless and about being an addict. He states the defendant needs ongoing treatment and has a lot of growing up to do." And more: "She indicates that she cannot afford to continue to pay for the treatment program and she needs to work. The defendant stated her clothing line is falling apart because she is not available to monitor the product." According to the report, Lindsay is in a group geared towards self-esteem improvement, as well as group therapy and AA meetings. All right, Lindsay, so things aren't great, but try to stay positive. We have our suspicions that you'll figure out a way to pay for your treatment. Other than that, at least you're getting therapy, you're not in jail, and you're getting the treatment that you desperately need. Keep your chin up, bb! Chris Colfer Talks Bullies Posted: 23 Oct 2010 02:00 PM PDT Glee's Chris Colfer has finally found his place! Chris admits that his high school days were very rough. He got tormented because of his love for theater, the debate team. They would yell insults and homophobic slurs at him. Chris originally went to the Glee auditions with the role of wheelchair bound Artie in mind, but creator Ryan Murphy had wrote the role of Kurt with Chris in mind. Chris explained that he is glad about landing the role of Kurt, he said, "I can relate to Kurt's vulnerability and the fact that he's still finding himself. We're all searching for something to belong to. I found it with Glee." As Glee becomes bigger and Chris finds his place, he tells about all of those bullies in high school have tried to contact him, acting like great friends. He says that after writing a scathing response back to one of them he never sent it. He thinks, "what's the point? I'm in a great place now." Good for you Chris! We love you! Solange Knowles Speaks Out On Bullying Posted: 23 Oct 2010 01:40 PM PDT Beyonce's kid sister, Solange Knowles is putting her Twitter to good use and coming out to speak about teenage bullying. In a series of tweets this afternoon, Solange discussed her admiration for the It Gets Better campaign, but brings up a valid point about parents involvement. On her site, she discusses the angle of parents getting involved to teach their children better values and respect for people. She explains: "I think the #itgetsbetter campaigns are amazing, but I honestly feel like there needs to be a national push towards the parents!! Parents need to talk to children & tell them how serious it is when they tease, joke , banter, form groups against, & explain consequences! I believe my son is a very loving, considerate, & nice boy, but U cant put ANYTHING past your children when U send them into the big world!" We agree! A hateful attitude can start at home, but its much harder to change the views of adults than it is for kids. That's why it is important to have these programs to reach out to kids on BOTH sides. Still, as much as Solange is a supporter of the initiatives to help struggling bullied teens, she recalls being a child when "horrible"things would happen to her and that "someone telling you its gonna be o.k….only feels like a temporary relief." Dina Speaks After Lindsay Is Sent Back To Rehab Posted: 23 Oct 2010 01:20 PM PDT We bet Dina Lohan is very happy that her daughter Lindsay will not be returning to jail. After Lindsay was ordered to return to rehab at Friday morning's hearing, Dina was said to have looked relieved. She told sources, "We're taking it day by day and we're very thankful for all the support and the love we've received." In Lindsay's probation report, written by one of her doctors, states, that Lindsay "must make several changes in her life in order to succeed, especially coming from a family of dysfunction." A family of dysfunction, indeed! With parents like Michael and Dina Lohan, we can see why Lindsay acts out the way she does. $500K Bail Set For The Quaids Posted: 23 Oct 2010 12:20 PM PDT But here's our question: Do they have $500k?! We're thinking not so much. As we reported earlier, Randy and Evi Quaid have been arrested and detained in Canada. The Vancouver police would not confirm the arrest, but would confirm that they do have an American couple in custody with outstanding US warrants. Speaking of those warrants, upon hearing the news of their arrest, the judge overseeing their felony burglary case has upped their bail from $50,000 each to $500,000! Even if they had all the money Randy made from those National Lampoon movies at their disposal, they still wouldn't be able to afford this! Guess it means back to jail for them! (Good!
