Thanks to its partners, DreamWorks is back in action. Steven Spielberg, Stacey Snider and Indian billionaire Anil Ambani announced that the studio would have $825 million in funding. In a statement, the partners stated, "With this financing, DreamWorks will eventually make 5-6 films per year. DreamWorks anticipates starting its first film for the new studio later this year. They have been actively acquiring properties and developing projects for release in 2010." According to DreamWorks' new deal, "the Walt Disney Company, Disney will handle marketing and distribution of the studio's films around the world, except for India where Reliance subsidiary Reliance BIG Entertainment will retain distribution rights." We hope they make some good stuff! |

The Second Coming of Christ and His Twin Sister were celebrated with a parade and sacrificial goats. Just kidding! Brangelina celebrated the first perfect birthday of their perfect twin children, Vivienne and Knox with a "low key" party on July 12th at the fam's LA home, complete with a visit from Grandma and Grandpa Pitt from Missouri. Paste magazine was about to shutter its doors, but thanks to a conservation campaign, the Georgia-based music mag will remain in business. For the time being. The campaign raised $250,000 (impressive!) and the mag has "published two issues since the campaign began, sent a third to the printer and are seeing advertising pick up for the fall and expect to be around for a long time." The magazine implemented several strategies in order to battle its financial crisis, including "a 20 percent pay cut, leasing out office space and eliminating all 'non-essential travel.'" They hope to reinstate employees' salaries before the end of the year. |

The National Enquirer is reporting that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are planning a sequel to Mr. and Mrs. Smith so we can collectively gag over the strangely anointed cheater and homewrecker. Apparently the couple is friends with the original's writer and have asked him to pen a second installment. A source said it would be a "family affair" with their baby collection nearby. Duh. These two need to head to their separate corners! Peter Andre has publicly accused his ex-wife Katie Price of "selling out" while referring to her tell-all interview in which she was paid £100,000. In the interview, Katie revealed she suffered a miscarriage during the final weeks of their marriage. "You're in between a rock and a hard place, because if you don't say anything you're only going to get one side of the story. But then if you do say something you're selling yourself," says Peter, who doesn't realize that he's, in fact, saying something. In a new interview, he goes on to say, "You're basically selling out and I don't think I should do that. It's not easy, I'm not going to lie, but I have to keep my mouth shut because in the future I know it can't be used against me." He claims his "silence" is due to the desire to protect his three kids, which he has cared for while Katie was traveling. The pair did a reality show!!!
