At least Jessica Simpson never had to deal with this BS!!!!! Spurs forward Richard Jefferson dumped his fiance, former Nets dancer Kesha Ni'Cole Nichols, the day before their $2 million Manhattan wedding. Although Kesha immediately called her family and friends to cancel, Jefferson waited until two hours before the planned ceremony to notify his friends. "He called about two hours before the wedding. It was nuts," said a Jefferson source. "He never showed up at the hotel, but all his boys were there. He gave his best friend the Black Amex (credit card) for the night." He should have handed the card over to his ex-fiance to make amends for effing her over!!!!! Nichols did check into the swank Mandarin Oriental in Columbus Circle on what would have been the day and location of her wedding. Earlier this year we joked that Mariah Carey must have promised the producers of America's Got Talent something big in order for them to choose her hubby Nick Cannon as the new host. And it looks like we were right! It's just been announced that Mimi is scheduled to perform on the first results show for America's Got Talent, which airs on August 5th. And as an added bonus, producers will be airing her new single, Obsessed, on tonight's show. That's not really a "bonus" though - the song is majorly mediocre. Hocialite Brittny Gastineau is trying to convince us that she's not as dumb as she appears in the Bruno movie. According to her, she was just playing along when she declared to "abort" a fetus (Jamie Lynn Spears') based on its sonogram. She says that when initially contacted, she was confused because she thought her show, Gastineau Girls was still playing somewhere in Europe. Quite the humanitarian! Miz Christina Aguilera was named on Wednesday the global spokesperson for the World Hunger Relief organization! Congrats, bb! With global hunger effecting over a billion people yearly, Aguilera has stepped up to be the spokesperson, because - she says - she is passionate about the issue. Says Xtina: "It's unacceptable a child dies every six seconds somewhere around the world from hunger." She continues, "By lending my voice for World Hunger Relief, I hope to raise awareness about the issue and move people from hunger to hope." 9-year-old Slumdog Millionaire actress Rubina Ali's memoir is less of an autobigraphy and more of a trashy Hollywood tell-all! A memoir at 9??? Talking shit at age 9??? Loves! Even though her money-grubbing dad is most likely the one behind this shiz! Slumgirl Dreaming: My Journey To The Stars, penned by journalist Divya Dugar, is a meager 192 pages with only 24 pages detailing Ali's life before Slumdog. Dugar shadowed the young actress for 6 months in the slums of Mumbai, with the remaining 168 pages of the autobiography detailing Ali's life coming off of the Oscar-winning film. Even though Ali's dad claimed the autobiography would recount his daughter's struggles, the memoir specifically hones in on the behind-the-scene details of the French commercial Ali shot with acclaimed actress Nicole Kidman for Schweppes. Even though the two shared a trailer, Ali calls Kidman "strange" in the memoir, saying the actress refused to leave her trailer during the day because she was "scared of the sun." Ha! In the age of the Internet, movie bootleggers have found a new outlet to sell copyrighted movies still in theatres. But, take caution, because the biggest movie of the year could cost you your computer and your identity. Sources are saying that there are some nasty crooks out there just waiting to pounce on your computer's hard-drive by creeping in alongside illegal downloads of the new Harry Potter movie. It's being called the most "targeted film" on the web and it's only been out one day, and hackers are using the popularity to their advantage. Using crimeware, the hackers go into people's computers through the download, stealing all kinds of personal information like credit card numbers and bank information. So be forewarned: Being cheap and lazy and not shelling out the measly 10 bucks to see the flick will cost you more than you bargained for. Besides, a movie like that deserves to be seen on a big screen! |
