Arsenal soccer stud Nicklas Bendter had too much of a good time on Tuesday night! After his team lost 3-1 to Manchester United (go Ronnie!) in this year's Champions League semi-final, Bendtner decided to drown his sorrows in a few pitchers of beer. The hottie was later spotted being carried out of London's Boujis nightclub at 4:00am. Unfortunately for the soccer star, it seems not everyone can pull off the baggy pants look. By the time they actually get around to remaking The Karate Kid, no one will care because so much has already been revealed about it. And that's a good thing! So in the Jaden Smith vehicle (produced by papa Will Smith, natch), his character has been renamed Dre, who has a penchant for skate boards and video games. His single mother relocates the family to China where, not knowing the language, Dre gets beat up. That's when Jackie Chan, whose character has been renamed Li Quan Ha, comes in and teaches Dre the way of Kung-Fu, not karate. But they're keeping the name The Karate Kid - how else will they hook unsuspecting fans of the original? |

So hopes the Peacock! NBC has The actress/writer/producer will continue to write for and appear on The Office next season while simultaneously developing a comedy in which she would also star. At the moment, Kaling, who plays talkative customer service rep Kelly Kapoor, is kicking around a lot of different ideas for a series. She says she's drawn to workplace comedies but is also interested in buddy shows in the vein of Flight of the Conchords. What do U think? Will U watch her show? [Image via WENN.] |

It turns out Jade Goody never let her ego get the best of her. No matter how much media attention she received, the late UK reality star never bought into her own hype! "Jade would be the first to tell you she had no talent. She was just herself," her publicist, Max Clifford explained on Tuesday. Clifford also is adamant on proving that he in no way profited from Goody's passing - every dime earned from coverage of Goody's struggle with cancer was given to her sons! "I did make a lot of money for her children, from which I did not take a penny. Do I feel guilty about that? Not at all, I'm very proud actually," Clifford boasted. Target has announced that they will be unveiling a line under the store's Designer Collaboration series that is completely inspired by the hot, teen sensation Gossip Girl. Designer Anna Sui plans on designing a collection that is solely based on the fashions of our favorite youthful New York City socialites. The line is reportedly set to hit 250 select Target stores on September 13 and run through October 17. xoxo |

Last month, the director of Russia's famous State Hermitage Museum gave permission to have Madonna perform a concert on Palace Squares this August. Madge will be touring Europe on her Sticky & Sweet tour, which starts back up July 4th in London. A promoter from Planet Plus said that "Hermitage Director Mikhail Piotrovsky signed the documentation allowing the concert by Madonna on Dvortsovaya Ploshchad (Palace Square). All requirements for holding concerts on Dvortsovaya Ploshchad have been met." However….. Director Piotrovsky also requested that Madonna guarantee her concert wouldn't contain any swearing or blasphemy and is said to have expressed doubts as to whether Palace Square, in the heart of St. Petersburg, would be the best spot for the concert. The St. Petersburg's culture committee already gave her Madjesty approval for the concert, which is expecting to bring in about 50,000 fans. However, some local authorities are still outraged at the idea and have called the event a "natural disaster." Oh hush! Jodie Sweetin has had a lot of problems (and we can't wait to read all about most of them in her autobiography, unSweetined, due out in October.) But for now, we'll settle for the recent report that Sweetin is being sued by the Sycamore Hills Community Association for late fees and dues on her Corona, Ca. home. Trouble is, woman don't live there no more! Her ex-husband, Cody HERPin, does and Sweetin's reps say that he is responsible for the residence and any bills that come along with it. And apparently, the Sweetin camp isn't too fond of the guy. "He hasn't worked at all since he latched onto Jodie. He's like a K-Fed, a guy who got married and never worked and now wants money and custody," the rep said. DAMN! Harsh! [Image via WENN.] |

Shady shady! Comedian Eddie Griffin has been slammed with a lawsuit after failing to follow through on a donation pledge. You can get sued for promising money to charity and not paying???? It's more complicated than that! In 2007, Griffin said he would give $150,000 to the Jamaica 360 initiative, which "sends African-American university graduates to the Caribbean to help further their careers." One of the two men who went on the trip provided by the organization is suing the actor, claiming that Griffin tricked him into giving him his credit card information to pay for a hotel room. Not only that but his check bounced! The icing on the cake is that Griffin's credit card company is also suing him for overdue payments. The lesson here is: Don't write checks you can't cash!
