Travolta 'Friend' Tied to Extortion Plot Speaks Out

Posted: 25 Jan 2009 02:30 PM CST

Former Bahamian Minister of Tourism, and self proclaimed 'friend' of the Travolta family, Obie Wilchcombe was detained and then subsequently released on Friday by island officials investigating the Travolta extortion case.

As we mentioned last week, the John and his wife Kelly were being shaken down during their time of grief.

Some shady people reportedly told them to pay millions of dollars or else pictures of their dying son Jett - in the ambulance on the way to the hospital - would be released.

Now, Wilchombe is speaking out about the extortion plot and proclaiming his 'innocence'.

Wilchcombe says that he "did a noble thing" by alerting the Travolta family lawyers that "someone was doing something untowards".

He doesn't explain what the "something untowards" was, though!

Apparently, the information was passed on to him early last week by another suspect in the extortion case, former Bahamian senator Pleaseant Bridgewater.

"She knew I was close to the Travolta's," says Wilchcombe. "She wanted to bring something to my attention."

When asked if he sought compensation for the tip off, he exclaimed, "Never once, asking for anything! Never once, expecting anything! This is ridiculous and absurd. The Travolta's are suffering, it's just outright foolish. Never did I ask for anything, no one can say that. We had a friend in my country who lost a son. It was one single individual [who tried to take advantage of the family], the Bahamian people have been very kind to the Travoltas."

Shooting the messenger is never cool, but we're assuming there's much more to the extortion case that hasn't come to light yet.

We can't wait to hear what Pleasant, the woman who put everything into motion, says in her tell-all interview!

Wino's Love Letter To Blaaaaaake Might Cost Her Millions

wino-looks-pissed__opt11.jpg

Amy Winehouse's adulterous affairs and publicly calling hubby Blaaaaake Fielder Civil 'rubbish in bed' has really pissed off his momma.

Momma of Incarcerated made sure that the UK's News of the World got a look at an Amy-penned love letter that's now with Blaaaake's divorce attorneys.

The things Crackyhouse says in the note could cost her millions!

It's apparently 'widely accepted' that Wino's Grammy award winning album Back to Black was based on 'the agonies' of her relationship with Blaaaake.

And, in the letter, Amy offers to compose an album of new songs specially for Blaaake Incarcerated. "So I'm thinking how about I WRITE you a few albums instead," gushed Ames.

Blaaake's lawyers are going to argue that Wino's husband was an instrumental part of her success.

Momma Blaaaake says, "Amy's been incredibly cruel with her comments. It was so unnecessary. This love letter completely contradicts what she's been saying. It will be an important part of his divorce case."

A legal expert is quoted as saying, "The letter could prove pivotal as it proves how important Blake was to Amy's career. By the time the case gets to court Amy could be worth as much as £12 million (approx US $16.5 million) and realistically Blake could end up with a quarter of that."

Crackies can help what they say!

Boy George Is Too Popular In 'Tough' Lock-up. Now Moving to a 'Softer' Cell Block????

Posted: 25 Jan 2009 01:30 PM CST

bgpic__opt1.jpg

This really makes sense.

According to reports, because convicted kidnapper Boy George is the getting 'celebrity' treatment from fellow prisoners and guards in North London's rough and tumble Category B Pentonville jail facility.

He's being transferred to the 'softer', less stringent Category C cell block.

A prison insider revealed:

"The governors were taken aback by how popular he was. A lot of the guys are of the age when they remember what a big star he was and how good the Culture Club songs were. But some officers were being too kind and giving him smokes. It's ironic that he was worried about getting beaten up in Pentonville but all that happened was people showered him with so much attention and kindness that they had to move him anyway."

Is that really teaching BG a lesson?

His celebrity is basically cutting him a break!

Then again, his safety is important. Don't want him to end up….hurt…in the slammer!

Stage Manager Steals From Lipstick Jungle Wardrobe, Gets Nabbed Selling Booty on eBay

Surprisingly, the latest Lipstick Jungle news doesn't involve Brooke Shields groveling to fans and NBC to save the show.

Instead, it has to do with some thievery of the show's fancy designer threads!

Apparently, a guy named Arthur Moreira, who worked for the show and had access to its pricey frocks, took it upon himself to find nice new homes for some of the soon-to-be-cancelled show's designer clothes and accessories on eBay.

The shady show manager was sussed out when a French fashion house's employee saw that one of the exclusive bags they loaned to the show was up for sale on the online marketplace.

The employee alerted authorities, a sting was set, and the thief was stung.

Among the $30K worth of stolen stuff found at Moreira's apt were 16 coats and Prada and Gucci suits.

Amateur work!
