The split is said to have been "amicable" and follows discussions between the two of them in recent days. The Media's Already Getting Pissy At President Obama Posted: 24 Jan 2009 03:38 PM CST Has the backlash already begun??? That was QUICK! Reporters' growing frustrations with President Obama's press team reached a high on Thursday because the White House 'stifled' press access to his oath re-do. TV reporters and photo agencies were not allowed into the oath 're-do'. Photo wire services AP, Reuters and AFP were so mad that they refused to distribute the White House's PR snapped pix of the 're-do'. In a statement, the AP said it believes "access for news photographers has been a time-honored tradition at the White House through many administrations and needs to be continued. We are working diligently with the White House staff to ensure this access." Former Clinton press secretary Dee Dee Myers equated the oath re-do stumble as a rookie mistake. But, experts say what remains to be seen is are these really 'rookie mistakes' or is Obama's press team asserting a new protocol, not bound to past traditions that White House reporters have grown accustomed to? The press corps' privileges aren't apparently written in stone and it's the administration's prerogative to change as they see fits. We assume this is change the press won't believe in. Michelle Obama Just Can't Catch A Break Posted: 24 Jan 2009 03:31 PM CST Putting aside momentarily the fact that one of them supports the slaughter of defenseless little animals, isn't it enough that Michelle Obama chose to wear threads designed by Americans to the Inauguration Day festivities? Well, the answers is NO for The Black Artists Association. They're upset because our new First Lady didn't wear something by an African-American. Michelle's day wear was designed by Cuban American Isabel Toledo and evening wear by Jason 'animal killer' Wu, an Asian American. One of the BAA's co-founders told Women's Wear Daily, "It's fine and good if you want to be all 'Kumbaya' and 'We Are the World' by representing all different countries. But if you are going to have Isabel Toledo do the inauguration dress, and Jason Wu do the evening gown, why not have Kevan Hall, B Michael, Stephen Burrows or any of the other black designers do something too?" And when asked if perhaps the First Lady isn't 'looking at the world colorlessly' the BAA rep said, "It's one thing to look at the world without color but she had seven slots to wear designer clothes. Why wasn't she wearing the clothes of a black designer? That was our moment." We say, leave Michelle alone! Let her pick her outfits based on whether she's feeling the fashion vibe, not because of the person's ethnic background. We also hope she won't support any fur users too! [Image via AP.]

David and Lourdes are growing up so fast before our eyes. Look, David's walking! But, where was Rocco? Did daddy Guy whisk him away for boys' night? Queen's Guardsman Attacks Oxford Student!!!! Posted: 24 Jan 2009 03:26 PM CST London visitors, beware! Looks like it's just a myth that the Queen's guardsmen are cool and unshakeable. An Oxford student goofing for his friend got the surprise of his life when one of the Queen's guards attacked him for mocking his march. What visitor to London hasn't mocked or made faces at the Queen's guards? You're told they won't even acknowledge your presence unless there's a clear and present danger to the royals and shiz. A friend shooting video of the jokester student told the UK's Sun,"I just thought "Oh My God" he's got a gun and he's going for Nick and he grabbed him and tried to boot him and we were so shocked we just ran away fast. You often see people pulling faces at the guards and standing beside them for photo's and marching along with them but obviously this soldier didn't find it funny. In hindsight I can understand the soldier losing his cool but it was very frightening indeed." We would have pissed our pants! Check out the incident above!

Writer Annie Karni recounts the goings-on at the cover shoot: "This isn't my first time on the merry-go-round," he shot at a staffer who asked that he pose for a traditional headshot and make eye contact with the camera. "You want mediocre? I can give you mediocre." He mocked the crew by grinning like he was posing for a DMV shot. An hour later, Jeremy didn't want to give mediocre anymore. He popped his collar. He ducked under the photographer so that the camera would catch him at a height-enhancing angle. Letting out a gutteral moan, he ripped the sleeves off a $350 Giorgio Armani shirt." Maybe the mercury poisoning has brought him down a notch. Not!

CSI's Ratings Drop Without Grissom Posted: 24 Jan 2009 03:14 PM CST Are things just not the same without Grissom, CSI fans? On Thursday, the first Grissom-less CSI was down 11% from the show's season average. Ratings dropped 26% in its key adult demo from last week's big farewell Grissom episode. However, a drop like this is sort of expected just after a main character departs, say experts. But if the ratings continue to steadily decline in the coming weeks, the suits will start their freak out!
