Oprah Being Sued For Plagiarism!

Posted: 28 Oct 2010 05:00 PM PDT

oprah-winfrey-sued.jpg

Uh-oh. Not the kind publicity you want in your final season!

Oprah Winfrey is being sued by Charles Harris, the author of How America Elects Her Presidents. Charles claims that Oprah plagiarized some of his material in his book while endorsing Barack Obama back in 2008.

According to the suit filed yesterday, Charles had sent 10 copies of his booklet to the Oprah Winfrey Show in hopes of gaining publicity, but he never heard back from producers or Oprah. He did, however, hear O allegedly read aloud exact questions that were included in the book on her February 16, 2009 broadcast.

Charles insists that the readings constitute as plagiarism and is looking for $150,000 per unlawful use in damages.

The guy's not screwing around.

Then again, after 25 years, we don't think Oprah is foolish enough to plagiarize anything!

Kid Rock Is Disappointed

kid rock thinks steven tyler is stupid for being on american idol

We were all surprised when Aerosmith's Steven Tyler decided to be a judge on American Idol…but no one was as tough on Steven as his pal Kid Rock!

Kid doesn't hold anything back, as he said, "I think it is the stupidest thing he's ever done in his life. He's a sacred American institution of rock and roll, and he just threw it all out the window — just stomped on it and set it on fire."

Jeez, that is a little harsh. He continued on to say that whoever advised him "we should bring back to the guillotine."

He finished the rant off by stating, "and if it was himself, he needs some serious counseling. I love him to death, but I gotta speak the truth."

LOL! Someone is angry!

What do U think of Steven Tyler being a judge on American Idol???

The Year Of The Ken Doll Is Coming!

ken-doll-getting-his-reality-web-series-hosted-by-whitney-port

Oh, shiz! Everything's coming up KEN!

Had enough of those pesky Barbie dolls getting all of the attention?

Well, apparently Mattel, the company that produces the doll, has too, because they're reportedly going to switch the spotlight to her male counterpart - the Ken doll - with an on-line reality series, Genuine Ken: The Search for the Great American Boyfriend!

LOLs!

The eight-episode Hulu series, which will be hosted by Whitney Port, will feature eight men who feel they encapsulate all of the qualities of the Ken doll while they compete in various elimination challenges!

This, on top of a re-design of the doll, will all lead up to the 50th anniversary of his character in 2011!

Stephanie Cota, senior VP of Mattel Girls brands, explains:

"He's getting a makeover to make sure he's still as culturally and visually relevant as Barbie is. He's getting a little work done to get ready for his 50th anniversary. With a 50-year history, you have people who have been embracing (Barbie and Ken) from day one. The series is a great way for us is to have grownup girls and boys stay connected to the brand."

This is absolutely HIGHlarious!

We're very curious to see how all of these reality contestants attempt to prove that they share the same qualities as a plastic doll!

What do U think?? Are U excited for the Year of the Ken??

David Arquette Talks Scream 4

Posted: 28 Oct 2010 04:20 PM PDT

david arquette talks all about scream 4

As we well know, David LOVES to talk!

Sometimes he uses that power for good, and other times he uses that power to talk about the Courteney break-up for evil.

Here's what David had to say about Scream 4:

"It felt like there had been these series of pretty graphic horror films. So to go back to something that's a little more traditional, with a sense of humor, I think that people are going to be ready for it and be really excited. In my opinion, just knowing the beginning and the ending and sort of everything that happens in the middle, I think it's going to be the best sequel of the series. Because it sort of goes back to the original place, Woodsboro, and it explores what happens there, why it happened, and some of the people involved. So it was a lot of fun."

David on playing Dewey again, ten years later:

"It was pretty easy, I mean, Dewey, a lot of his humor comes from aspects of my own character that I find funny and people seem to find funny. Now he's in this position of authority but he doesn't get a ton of respect, and he's kind of frustrated by it, but it also makes it sort of easy to discover lines or improvise things when you know where your character is coming from and who he is. I know him pretty well – he's pretty close to me and I have a lot of fun playing him."

David on his cast and crew:

"This set, being surrounded by a group of people you've worked with for 16 years, although you haven't worked with them, it was really great. It was like a family. To get to know Neve [Campbell] again, and to get to work opposite Courtney, which I don't get to do that often, I really enjoyed that a lot. So it's just really fun to do."

And David on the ending of the film:

"I'm really excited to see how it turns out/I mean, obviously I read the script and I know where it goes and what happens, but you explore stuff on the set and you try things, and a few of them I'm pretty sure are going to [generate] laughs. I think it's going to be really fun for people to watch and sort of see these characters come back to life."

All sounds exciting to us AND it was really refreshing to hear you talk a lot about something other than Courteney, David. Bravo!

What do U think of David's Scream 4 comments?

Ellen Is Snooki's Poof For Halloween!

ellen degeneres as snookis poof for halloween

We love it!

Although it's fun to go as Snooki for Halloween this year, Ellen DeGeneres took it one step further and dressed up as Snooki's Poof.

"That's Snooki down there," Ellen said of the orange Cabbage Patch doll at her feet. "I'm the poof. She's the actual size. She is that short. I met her in person. I was almost late for the show because I didn't take in account how long it takes to gym, tan and laundry, everybody."

LOLz.

What do U think of Ellen's costume?

Charlie Never Paid His Porn Star!

Ah-ha! It's all starting to make sense now!

Capri Anderson AKA Christina Walsh, the woman with Charlie Sheen during his latest meltdown, is reportedly ready to fly to Aspen and inform authorities that the actor violated his probation during that fateful night at the Plaza, and she has good reason to - he NEVER paid her!

A source reveals:

"Charlie had never met Christina until that night. He ordered her from a 'service.' Christina was supposed to be paid $12,000. And by the time the crazy night was over, she never got paid because Charlie flipped out. She was furious and now she's doing everything she can to make money off that night. She has someone in Los Angeles who handles her 'calls.' She's more than a porn star. And the price for the evening was $12,000. She told Charlie, 'I'm not doing anything until I get my money first.' And then after they did more cocaine Charlie wanted to have sex and she demanded money. He couldn't find his wallet and flipped out. He thought she stole it, but his assistant, who was down the hall had it. That's when Charlie flipped out and Christina fled into the bathroom and locked the door. He was pounding on it and that led to the series of phone calls with the police showing up. Now she's furious because he still NEVER paid her! And she's determined to get her money one way or the other, so she's shopping her story. Saying she'll go to the district attorney makes her story more valuable she thinks and puts pressure on Charlie."

Uh-oh!

Hell hath no fury like a call-girl unpaid scorned!

Looks like Charlie's going to have quite a mess on his hands if she follows through with her plan!

What do U think?? Is Charlie Sheen's luck about to run out??

Judd Apatow's New Film Gets Release Date Without Title Or Logline!

Posted: 28 Oct 2010 03:55 PM PDT

judd apatow gets release date for next film

It doesn't have a title. It doesn't have a logline. We don't know ANYTHING about it…except that it has a release date.

Universal has given Judd Apatow a release date for his next film, based solely on the fact that everything he touches turns to gold except maybe Funny People.

It's only speculation at this point, but here are some things we'll expect to see in Apatow's next movie:

-A nerdy guy who romances an out-of-his-league girl

-Jonah Hill

-A bunch of guys smoking marijuana and talking about movies

-Pop culture references that are hilarious now, but will be seriously dated pretty soon

-Jason Segel, Seth Rogen, and/or Jay Baruchel

What do U think we can expect to see in Judd Apatow's upcoming movie?

the talk does very well with women ages 15 to 24

Are you a woman aged 25-54? If so, you're probably watching CBS' The Talk.

According to Nielsen ratings at least. The Talk is up +60% with women 25-54.

The show has dominated its time period in a bunch of locations, including Philadelphia, Miami, and Baltimore, among women 25-54.

Here are some more Talk-related stats:

On the 14 CBS Owned Stations, THE TALK improved among women 25-54 by +60% (0.8 from 0.5) and by +50% in the local people metered markets (0.9 from 0.6).

THE TALK tied veteran time period winner "One Life to Live" among women 18-34.

What do U think of these figures? Have U been contributing to The Talk's impressive numbers?
