And that's not the worst of it! The reason she took so long is because she was waiting for her manicure/pedicure to dry! Her rep spewed some bullshit: "She's sorry she kept her fans waiting, but couldn't go out there looking busted!" It's amazing that any of her fans stuck around that long! Posted: 08 Sep 2010 05:40 PM PDT ASSlee Simpson has been keeping a pretty low-profile since she got her ass fired from Melrose Place, and we've been wondering what exactly her next inspired career move would be! Luckily, we will not have to speculate anymore, because gurlfriend is dusting off that 'music' career she left for dead a few years back and trying her hand at - GET THIS - a folk album! Bwa ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Check out this little snippet from Paper Magazine: Do you know the direction of the forthcoming record? I do, I do. I see the light. But I'm definitely not spilling the beans just yet. It's definitely a bit folky. Way more folky than "Pieces of Me"? It had that feel, but I'm really going for it this time! Well, "LaLa" and "Outta My Head" were pretty major. Well, I'm always a kooky person, so you're not going to lose that. But for me, there's an era of music that I miss and I wanna make that kind of music. The songs that we need to hear. Yes, yes, and YES! This is hilariously wonderful and bad news! And just so we're clear, bb. You understand that folk usually means just you and a guitar. That shiz is harder to fake perfect. We hope you know that! What do U think?? Mr. Shu's Album Gets A Release Date Posted: 08 Sep 2010 05:30 PM PDT It's actually happening! Glee's Matthew Morrison will release his debut album on Mercury in February 2011. He said: "I'm about three-quarters of the way done with the album. During our hiatus was the big chunk of putting it together — it's full-time 'Glee' right now. I'm trying to do it on the weekends." But it doesn't bother his since "'Glee' is promotion of the album." The album has a varied sound with "a lot of stuff that you would find on the adult contemporary charts, but stuff that I hope you'll hear in the club and you can dance to." Joel McHale, the host of The Soup and star of the HIGHlarious sitcom Community, has landed a part in Robert Rodriguez's Spy Kids 4! He'll allegedly portray Jessica Alba's husband, who is a spy-hunting reporter. We honestly can't even believe that a fourth one of these things is being made, but at least they're securing a decent cast! Even YESsica! Meet Bilbo Baggins! (Hopefully!) Posted: 08 Sep 2010 05:00 PM PDT There has been all kinds of set backs with this movie, but for this guy's sake, we hope they work this one out. Meet Martin Freeman. You probably know him best as Tim from the original U.K. version of The Office. Anywhoos, Martin was approached by New Line and MGM, who are backing the new Hobbit movie, to star as the iconic Bilbo Baggins character. It's an offer no one would want to refuse, considering, as we hear it, it was a seven-figure offer. But alas, Martin had to decline, as his schedule wouldn't allow it, as he is currently committed to shooting the new BBC series, Sherlock. However, we're hearing that the studio is desperate to nab him and they are working on a new shooting schedule that would be more accommodating for Martin. Beyonce Pays Up! Posted: 08 Sep 2010 04:50 PM PDT Ouch! Beyonce has just paid quite a hefty 5-figure settlement to Philip Markowitz after she "invaded his neighborhood" for a music video shoot. Markowitz sued Beyonce and her production crew back in May, claiming she was a major disturbance while filming the music video for "Why Don't You Love Me" in the Hollywood Hills. Apparently the crew trespassed onto Markowitz's driveway… He says: "I'm happy with the settlement, but this lawsuit shouldn't have happened in the first place. They set up on my property without asking and [the settlement] should send a notice to other production companies that they need to respect the rights of property owners." The Situation's Drugged Out Past Posted: 08 Sep 2010 04:40 PM PDT Jersey Shore's Michael "The Situation" Sorrentino has a shaaaaaady past (well, sort of!) On October 24, 2003, pre-"situation" Michael Sorrentino was arrested for pot possession in Manalapan, New Jersey. Then 22-year old Michael was pulled over for being an idiot having an expired registration, which escalated into a much worse SITUATION. Sorrentino was driving with a suspended license, "unclear plates," a stash of pot, as well as a "glass pipe full of the burnt weed." He plead not guilty four days later and the charges were dropped, but he was put on a one year probation with mandatory drug testing throughout that period, and he had to pay $810 in court costs. Looks like you've come a long way since then, Michael. Let's just hope we don't see a repeat of October 24, 2003! What Do U think of The Situation's somewhat shady past?
