Duff McKagan Peaces Out From Jane's Addiction!

That didn't take long now did it!

After just five months, former Guns N' Roses rocker Duff McKagan has been cut loose from his gig playing bass for Jane's Addiction. The band released this statement announcing the split, saying:

"Hey we wanted to thank Duff for helping us write songs for our new record. We love the songs we worked on with him — and the gigs were a blast — but musically we were all headed in different directions. From here Duff is off to work on his own stuff so we wish him all the best."

Hmm. Wonder what the real story is behind this could be?

McDreamy will get a big name athlete to participate in his second annual bicycling fundraiser. Olympic bronze medalist and Tour de France veteran Levi Leipheimer will join other champs in the Dempsey Challenge, a cycling event that raises money for the Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Maine.

Since the Jersey Shore started, all anyone in the Garden State can do is hate on the guidos an guidettes. Supposedly, how they act while smooshing around Seaside Heights is offensive to the delicate nature of New Jersey.

But leave it to a true Jersey girl to shed some perspective on the situation (and The Situation!)

Real Housewives of New Jersey matriarch, Caroline Manzo, was asked to comment on the shenanigans of Snooki & Co. and we think her answer should suffice anyone's criticism. She says:

"Everybody has their opinion of the Jersey Shore just like they have an opinion about our show. They're young kids doing their thing…We have to understand that they don't represent the state, they don't represent the culture. They represent themselves. If they make a fool of themselves, they're just making a fool of themselves. Do your thing."

Exactly! She gets it! How come the governor doesn't get it?!

Sources are reporting that Whoopi Goldberg dropped $2,300 on a life-size photograph of Michael Jordan while shopping with her fam at the NBA store on Fifth Avenue.

Wowza! Where the hell are you going to put such a thing?!

Then, she reportedly dropped another $2,700 on Jordan shoes and T-shirts, plus jerseys from the Atlanta Hawks and Los Angeles Lakers.

The recession doesn't mean much to her, huh?!

Sources are reporting that last Friday night, Jennifer Aniston was spotted having a cozy Italian dinner with one of her upcoming Cougar Town costars - Josh ~~Hotskins~~ Hopkins!

The pair were spotted at Madeo for two hours, "sipping wine" and enjoying "animated conversations." A witness added:

"It was obvious that they don't know each other well, but there was a flirty energy between them and Jen looked very happy."

We think they look cute together! This could work! He's certainly a WAY better option than getting back with John Mayer!
