There are gonna be lots of Brits at our annual SXSW super concert this Saturday night, which is made possible thanks to our presenting sponsor this year - Swagg. Perez is an Anglophile, so we LOVE it! We are thrilled to have Estelle back for a second time! The singer played our "One Night in… Liverpool" event back in November of 2008 and she burned the house down performing her huge HUGE hit, American Boy, with Kanye West, who played our SXSW event last year. Estelle will be performing this weekend on our stage alongside such previously announced acts as Snoop, Macy Gray, a Surprise Act, Alphabeat, Marina & The Diamonds, V.V. We've seen the ring, but what about the dress??? Hilary Duff is starting to talk about her wedding plans to hockey player Mike Comrie. Of course, she says she's very "excited" and the first thing on her agenda is the dress. She has something in mind, but she just hasn't found it yet. She explains:

Most of us know Danica McKellar from The Wonder Years. She played Kevin's first love, Winnie Cooper, who he didn't end up with at the series end, despite years and years of build-up. But little Winnie will soon be a mom! Danica announced today that she is pregnant with her first child with hubby Mike Verta! If you have $60.9 million, it can be all yours! Musicman Andrew Lloyd Webber has decided to auction off a piece of rare art to benefit his arts and culture foundation. The rare Pablo Picasso piece comes from the artist's blue period and is considered the most highly estimated work of art to be offered at the Christie's auction in June. The painting was completed in 1903 and is titled Portrait of Angel Fernandez de Soto (The Absinthe Drinker). The auctioneers estimate that the piece will go for as much as 40 million pounds ($60.9 million)! Damn! [Image via WENN.] |

Absolutely disgusting. A New Jersey Walmart is in serious trouble for what was either a tasteless, racist joke OR a serious display of horrifying bigotry!! Apparently, this past Sunday an unknown male used the store's speakers to announce to shoppers:
Unbelievable. It makes us ill to think that somebody would be this barbaric and racist enough in 2010 to find that funny OR appropriate. Management has since apologized, calling the incident "unacceptable," and the company's officials are reviewing security tapes to find the culprit. Good! Hope they catch the douche! |

Sounds delicious! Top Chef will be going on tour beginning on April 14 bringing the Chef'testants out and about for culinary delights all over the country! The creative power duo of Bjork and director Michel Gondry are teaming up yet again! For a "scientific" musical! Gondry revealed at SXSW that he and Bjork have a "very ambitious project" in the works, which he described as a "40-minute IMAX project in 3-D" which would be made "more for museums" rather than theaters. So charitable! Rappers Method Man and Redman will be giving away free haircuts on Easter as a part of Staten Island barbershop Against Da' Grain's free kids cuts day! Neighbor kids under the age of 12 will be able to have their hair snipped and trimmed by the former Wu-Tang and Def Squad members free of charge to look their "Sunday's best" on the holy day! We like the sound of this! Conan O'Brien's upcoming 30-city live comedy/music revue tour is in talks to be filmed for a documentary feature! The film wouldn't violate the terms of the comedian's split from NBC and it's sure to be a hit with all of the Conan-fever going around! Planning is just in the beginning stages, but supposedly Media Rights Capital is already interested in financing and Rodman Flender is a contender for directing the movie.
