Who says you need to win American Idol to get big?! (Really all you need is to appeal to middle America!) Season 8 American Idol contestant Danny Gokey released his new album last week and already it is soaring up the music charts. He has sold over 65,000 copies of his CD, My Best Days, which has landed him at the #4 spot on the Billboard 200 and #3 country album-sales chart. Crazy! Good lord, he is UNBEARABLY attractive. It's almost too much! ALMOST. True Blood's Viking Vampire Erik, otherwise known as Alexander Skarsgård , is gracing the pages the El Lay Times Magazine this week looking utterly FLAWLESS. We think he brings the SEKS all dressed up like that, but to be completely frank, with this one, the less clothes, the better. |

Travis already settled, but now it's time for everyone else to get what's owed to them. The family of Travis Barker's assistant and friend, Chris Baker, who passed in the 2008 plane crash, has been awarded $4,375,000 in the wrongful death lawsuit. Clay Lacy Aviation, Goodyear Tire and Rubber, Learjet paid the $$$$$, which will go to Chris' 3-year-old son Sebastian to purchase annuities. It is estimated that he will receive $17,404,456.40 over the course of his life. Baker's widow, Otilia Villar Baker settled for $7,625,000, but the money does not replace a father or husband. Sad. |

Guess she has nothing better to do? Isn't she still on that show about the pregnant teen? You know, The Bristol Palin Show, or whatever? Regardless, The Breakfast Club star Molly Ringwald has just finished the final touches on a brand new jazz album. The record will actually be the second in her arsenal, the first having been recorded over 36 years go, when she was six. Come a long way, haven't ya, Andie Walsh?! Sources say that Molly completed her work on the album hours before she was scheduled to take the stage at the Oscars to pay tribute to director and friend John Hughes. She explained: "I'm really excited about it. I haven't come up with a name yet but it's with my quintet that I've been performing with a lot in the Los Angeles area." You wouldn't think that an Oscar-winning film would have any trouble at the box-office. You wouldn't think, but it is so! Summit Entertainment finds itself in quite a pickle this week as it has tried to repitch The Hurt Locker to movie theater chains for another release and no one seems to be biting. For example, Regal Theaters flat out said no, citing the problem is not the film itself, but the fact that it is already on DVD. Understandable, but it seems to us that it is the kind of flick that is best appreciated on the big screen and with all the buzz, an extra week in theaters couldn't hurt. What do U think? It's possible! Sacha Baron Cohen, Josh Brolin and Jemaine Clement of Flight of the Conchords fame are the three actors in the running for lead roles in the third Men In Black movie. Supposedly Cohen and Clement are both being considered for an agent called Yaz. So are they trying to reach a female demographic with that name?? Both Men In Black films have made over $1 billion globally, but that was when Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones co-starred in the alien movies. What do U think about the new actors taking over? Yes, you read that right! Lee Jin-gyu married his pillow adorned with an image of Fate Testarossa, an anime character. He organized a special ceremony complete with a local priest and a wedding dress for the pillow. The local media also covered the story. A friend of his says:

We mentioned yesterday that for some reason Mariah Carey has a large fan base in Brazil. In fact, her song I Want To Know What Love Is has been on the Brazilian charts for 20 consecutive weeks at the number one spot. It's even become the longest chart-topper in the countries history! And now we know why. Turns out Mimi's song was turned into the theme song for one of Brazil's most popular soap operas, Viver a Vida.
