With the recent revelations of the couple's split, you would think Rosie O'Donnell would be playing it low-key. But not our Ro! After revealing this past Friday that her partner, Kelli Carpenter-O'Donnell, had moved out of their home two years ago, Rosie didn't seem too down this past weekend. In fact, she seemed to be having a great time with one of her gal pals. Rosie was spotted jet-skiing around the waters of Miami with a female companion. The two went for a spin which lasted around an hour as they circled Rosie's Star Island home. Rosie's kids were also out jet-skiing, but all eyes were on Ro and her companion. We're sure they're "just friends", but knowing now that Kelli hasn't even been living at home for so long, there might be something more going on between Ro and her pal. Just sayin'! Michael Jackson fans might be a bit upset over this revelation. The much hyped-about This Is It flick, documenting Michael's final tour rehearsals, seems to have gotten a bit of help from the past. According to new reports, music experts are claiming some of the sound bytes you hear are actually from years before!!!! Former BBC senior studio manager Andrew Rose is one of those claiming the film used old clips. Such as when Jackson sings Earth Song, it's actually old vocals from one of his demos. Rose claims, "Throughout the film sudden changes in vocal timbre suggest the dropping in of older recordings which may have required significant digital manipulation to fit the new live backing." But the most shocking part? Officials at Sony Pictures are admitting to altering the film! Sony spokesman Jim Kennedy says, "In order to fulfil Michael's vision for his fans and his children… the filmmakers had to incorporate some pre-existing materials, including vocals, where the rehearsal footage audio was incomplete and/or inaudible. In addition, usage of master recordings (such as Earth Song) was credited in the end titles." This is It has grossed over $200 million already. |

It has been reported that CNN gave Lou Dobbs $8 million in severance pay for leaving CNN. Wow! Is Lou actually worth that much? Why would CNN do that?! According to inside sources, Lou was actually asked to bow out of the rest of his year and half contract because CNN couldn't stand him! They wanted him OUT! Obviously, badly enough to dig really dig to pay for him to go! It's no secret that CNN boss Jonathan Klein and Lou were never on the best of terms, but to put out that kind of money to make Lou leave, well, that sounds like the hate runs deep. No word yet what Lou plans to do next. Although, with that kind of money, he could spend a while trying to figure it out. [Image via WENN.] |

The Hollywood Reporter has chosen actress Eva Longoria Parker as their Philanthropist of the Year. THR publisher Eric Mika says of Eva:
Eva is the national spokesperson for Padres Contra El Cancer (Parents Against Cancer), a nonprofit aiding Latino children with cancer and their families. She also founded Eva's Heroes in her hometown of San Antonio which provides after-school programs for those with developmental disabilities. Eva is also currently executive producing a documentary called The Harvest, focusing on the mostly Latino child farm workers in America. Okay, okay, so she is doing some pretty great things! The Kardashian girls might be some famewhores, but we love it when they use their name for good. Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney have all decided to participate in the NOH8 campaign to show their support for gays and their right to marry. And all three of them took to their blogs today to post their Of the whole experience, Kim reveals, "I love how our NOH8 pics turned out! I'm so glad we got to be a part of the campaign!" While Khloe adds, "Kim, Kourtney and I did a shoot for the NOH8 campaign, which is a silent photo protest created with the goal of ultimately overturning Proposition 8. It was such an honor to have been asked to represent such an important and worthy cause and we were so excited at the opportunity. I completely support and respect everything the NOH8 campaign stands for so I was truly honored to have been asked to participate in such a meaningful cause." Yea, we'd have to agree with that. Looks like New Moon will definitely be a hit. Especially if the pre-sale tickets are any indicator! According to Fandango, the Twilight sequel has already become the top-selling pre-release title in the company's 10-year history. New Moon has beat out Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith, which is now the second fast selling pre-sale, followed by Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, The Dark Knight, and Twilight. And with New Moon not even being released until November 20th, there's still more time for the numbers to add up. The sequel is also making up 86% of Fandango's weekly ticket sales. Fandango COO Rick Butler added that "For many fans, it's the year's most anticipated film event. Ever since tickets went on sale in September, it's been among our top five weekly ticket-sellers, as New Moon has a strong pull on audiences. We're seeing a higher-than-usual number of tickets per transaction for this film, suggesting that moviegoers will show up en masse at theaters this weekend with their friends and family." Duh! Good luck to any other movie being released this Friday! |

Last month, Nicole Richie was granted a temporary restraining order against paparazzo Bam Bam (Eduardo Arrivabene) as well as his partner, Ivon Miguel. According to legal docs filed by Nicole, the two paps would regularly "sit outside [her] house, waiting for [her] to leave," and "scream at [Richie] in an attempt to her [her] reaction," as well as chase Richie in their car. Bam Bam is the pap who Nicole claims caused the car accident she had last month. But finally, a judge has decided to issue an official restraining order against the paparazzo and his partner. The restraining order will be in effect for three years and the two must stay at least 50 yards away from Richie and her kids at all times. Good! [Image via WENN.] |
