Former coach Ewen McKenzie, who was recently fired from top French football team Stade Francais, slammed his former employers for basing recruitment on looks instead of ability. And if you saw this team and the calendar they put out every year, you'd totally get it! "Stade Francais is the best team in the world in terms of marketing," said McKenzie, "It's an international brand. But on the level of their sporting approach some things are shocking. Paris are verging on amateurism." Ssshhh! Take your shirt off! The popular Dieux du Stade (translated to Gods of the Stadium) calendar features nude and semi-nude photos of team members. Yum! So, Ewen accused club president Max Guazzini of "only seeing two things - his calendar and the (team's home ground) Stade de France". We would only be able to see ONE thing! "He has a marketing outlook which is not always in the best interests of sport," McKenzie continued. "For example, Max could recruit one player over another just because he has a better look for the calendar." And that's shocking?! "I had players in my squad who I never chose. Others were requested to leave the club because they didn't want to pose for the calendar any more," he divulged. "I had certain players forced on me who, for me, shouldn't have been in a team targetting the Top 14 title." Seemingly ageless actress Kristin Davis was giving an interview about new flick Couples Retreat when she let a few small secrets slip about the upcoming Sex and the City 2. So much for Halloween fun! A woman in the UK was forced to cancel her Harry Potter-themed dinner party after receiving a warning from the Warner Bros. legal department. The event included an ambiance of talking paintings and a dinner of pumpkin soup, butterbeer and cauldron cakes, but all fun halted when she received the following letter:
They may have won the Potter battle, but the studio did not win the war! The party continues under the name Generic Wizard Night, but because she used to make money off of these dinners, the copyright-Nazis put a stop to it. According to the hostess, "The night is totally a fan's tribute and is a one-off. It's not like I'm running a permanent Harry Potter restaurant…It is basically dinner parties that are paid for. I'm the cook and hostess. Each dinner takes four days of work and I make very little money from it." Do U have a favorite generic wizard?! |

Sounds like someone's playing it safe with a backup plan! Kate Gosselin filed to renew her nursing license this week, which was set to expire on Halloween. Now, her license will be active until 2011. Before the world knew all about Kate and her family, she was an RN at The Reading Hospital and Medical Center in Pennsylvania. Beachgoers are encouraged to stay out of the water since the massive shark could still be lurking in the waters. Watch above to see the damage! Scary! |

As we mentioned before, TLC aired a special episode of Jon and Kate Plus 8 this week, featuring a Q & A with Kate Gosselin. No Jon! The questions varied from her failed marriage to her alleged affair. We thought they'd shy away from those types of questions. But it seems the viewers loved it. The hour-long episode was a hit with the ratings. The special brought in 3 million viewers! That's huge for a cable show. The final episode featuring the Gosselin kids is scheduled to air on November 23rd. After that, it's in the hands of the attorneys to see if Jon Gosselin can get his way and keep his kids off TV. As we mentioned earlier, Ivanka Trump and businessman Jared Kushner got married this weekend in a private ceremony in Bedminster, NJ. And with the wedding comes the honeymoon. But not just yet! The two will soon be heading off to Africa to enjoy some time together. But not before heading back to work and having a second wedding! Ivanka Tweeted yesterday, "Thanks for all the well wishes everyone! I appreciate it. Back in the office now, but the memories from Sunday will last a lifetime." The second wedding will take place tomorrow at the Puck Building in Manhattan and will include 1,000 guests. Ivanka will be busy the next coming weeks as one of her projects, the Trump International Hotel & Tower Waikiki, will soon open in Honolulu, Hawaii. In an interview earlier this month, Ivanka revealed: "Of course I will be there. Trump hotels are the focus of what I do. Jared is not intimidated by my work. He is incredibly busy, too." Better him than Kellan Lutz!!! Tweens maybe dismayed to hear that Taylor Lautner doesn't actually like walking around without his shirt on, at least when it comes to his film roles. He recently explained that he is hoping to be known in the industry as more than just a "body." We'd be more concerned for only being known as that kid from Twilight! Regardless, Taylor is looking to take roles that will feature his talent, rather than his abs. But he's not stupid either: "If I had to choose, I would never take my shirt off again in a movie, but I guess that's not very realistic. I certainly won't be asking to do it, though." We say, flaunt what you got, Taylor! You may find you'll get farther in this business if you do! |
