Christina Aguilera may be divalicious, but she has overcome many obstacles to get where she is today! The singer is opening up in a new TV about the childhood trauma she suffered at the hands of her abusive army sergeant father. "I witnessed a lot of unpleasant things - a lot of pushing and shoving and fighting and quarrelling. Growing up I did not feel safe. Feeling powerless is the worst feeling in the world. I turned to singing as an outlet. The pain at home is where my love for music came from," said Xtina. Aguilera's mother, Shelly, left her husband and took the children away from their father when she found 4-year old Christina with blood dripping from her chin. "I scooped her up and said, 'Oh my God. What's wrong?' She told me, 'Daddy wanted to take a nap and I made too much noise,'" divulged Shelly. And although her father has since begged to be forgiven, the songstress has no intention to have a relationship with him. "I let him back into my life briefly but I soon realized that he is not necessary in my life," said Christina. Former American Idol finalist Chris Sligh wants the contestants from this past season to know they are worthless and they better get used to it! He took to his blog to rant about his fellow Idol alum and warn them that their minor success is about to burn out. Says Sligh:
We give him points for the harsh honesty, but he's coming across as a bit of a Bitter Betty. Neither Chris Daughtry nor Jennifer Hudson won Idol and they went on to do very VERY well!! [Image via WENN.] |

After only 2 aired episodes, Glee has become the first show of the new fall season to be picked up for a full 22-episode run! The premiere did extremely well in the ratings, being the highest rated-scripted program premiere Fox has had in years. The second episode only fell 9 percent the following week. This decision after only 2 episodes is kind of a big deal and really speaks to the confidence Fox must have in their new show. Are U looking forward to watching a full season of Glee? Or it may just be a drunken Emmy night hook-up! How I Met Your Mother's Jason Segal and Big Love's Chloe Sevigny were spotted getting hot and heavy at the HBO Emmy party Sunday night. The pair were seen making out in the corner around midnight, yet they stopped when they realized that people were watching them. Super duper indie and brooding! The soundtrack listing for The Twilight Saga: New Moon has finally been released. Sorry to those who were hoping, but Robert Pattinson won't be singing on this disc. Instead, fans will get an education in a lot of indie music, with songs from Death Cab For Cutie, Thom Yorke, Grizzly Bear, Ok Go, The Killers, and Muse. Boy, we thought he was going to ride his daughter's coattails forever! We were proven wrong as it was announced this morning that Billy Ray Cyrus will be doing a movie without his beloved Good for him, spreading his wings and doing his own thing. The project is a made-for-TV Hallmark Channel Christmas movie about "a friendship between two boys — black and white — in 1960s Texas as they bond over concern for a wounded puppy." Could it be? Is Madonna making a return to Saturday Night Live? Reports are that the Queen of Pop will be appearing on SNL some time this season! She's apparently set to make her return after 16 years and word has it she'll likely be performing. Though execs are trying to have her do both, perform and host. We think she should do it all!! Not only is Gisele one of the most beautiful woman in the world, but now she soars above all else - literally! Pregnant Gisele Bundchen is in the process of getting her pilot's license. The supermodel has recently been seen at the controls of several helicopters while training at the Marshfield Airport in Massachusetts. And it ain't cheap! She'll need 65 hours of flight time to get her license, costing about $225 per hour! Hope that's okay while preggers! Stay safe, bb! |
