Sunday night's premiere of Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami on E! was the cable network's biggest debut since 2002's premiere of The Anna Nicole Show!!! The Kardashian sisters' show even tied Anna Nicole in the ratings for their key demographic: women between 18-49! Congrats, ladies! We bet Kourt's pregnancy announcement last week didn't hurt the ratings, either! Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian's premiere drew in a massive 2.7 million viewers and a 2.14 rating, topping every premiere of Keeping Up With the Kardashians by 49%!!! Sorry Kim! Looks like poppa Brad Pitt is still smoking the Apparently, the father of six likes to unwind with a joint every once in a while. At least that's what Quentin Tarantino has to say. And considering that Bradley spoke recently about his "past" weed smoking days, we wouldn't doubt it. Tarantino was on Howard Stern's show Monday morning to promote his mew Pitt-starring flick, Inglorious Basterds, when the juiciness was revealed. Tarantino revealed he went to France to meet with Brad and pitch the movie. When the two got together, they hit it off, spoke about the film and drank about five bottles of wine. But then Quentin adds that the "coolest" thing Pitt did was pull out a brick of hash and give him a piece of it! When Tarntinto asked for a pipe, Brad just gave him a soda can instead, to which Tarantino responded, "Yeah, I know what to do with this." Resourceful!!! [Image via WENN.] |

Time to start filming in a better neighborhood! This weekend, some of the crew setting up for Queen Latifah's new movie, Just Wright, became witness to a whole different kind of shooting at a housing complex in the outer Chelsea district of Manhattan. Several crew members heard gun shots go off from a nearby housing project. Apparently, an unidentified man parked his car in front of the building and became involved in a heated argument with two men on the street, who proceeded to shoot guy in the torso and leg! No arrests have been made and the victim was last said to be in stable condition. Did no one take the time to check the area out before selecting it as a possible backdrop for a major motion picture? | Posted: 17 Aug 2009 04:00 PM PDT Sad news for the members of the rock band Lit and their fans. The band's drummer, 39-year-old Allen Shellenberger, has passed away. Shelleberger passed away on Thursday after a battle with brain cancer. He was originally diagnosed back in May of 2008 with a Stage 4 malignant brain tumor. Unfortunately the tumor was inoperable, but he didn't give up and tried combating it via radiation treatments and chemotherapy. As for Allen's music career, he played his last gig while on tour with Sugar Ray and Everclear last fall. Mark McGrath even released a heartwarming statement saying, "Allen was a great drummer, but more importantly a great human being. His courage and positive outlook during his battle with cancer was an inspiration to us all. He will be missed dearly by a music community he helped enrich, and my thoughts and prayers go out to his family and my friends in LIT." As for Allen's friend, No Doubt's Adrian Young, he added, "We're deeply saddened by Allen's passing. It's a difficult moment but we take comfort in remembering how much he loved being in Lit, loved being a drummer and that he saw his rock'n'roll dreams come true. Our thoughts are with his family, bandmates and loved ones." Sad. Check out above the band's tribute video to Allen. |
