Back in February, we mentioned to you an article about Sam the koala who was badly injured and rescued during the Australian Victorian bushfires. Sadly, our furry little friend has passed away, having suffered from "urogenital chlamydiosis - a serious disease which affects up to 50% of Australia's koala population." Poor little gal. She'll be missed! [Image via AP Images.] |

While on the set of her new film G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra, Sienna Miller found herself in a very hot situation: her titties caught fire! Ouch! Last night, she told Conan O'Brien on The Tonight Show about how a little spark landed on her cleavage and a fire started on her chest, adding "I burned my boobs in an explosion that went wrong." Sienna says "they're fine", which is a good thing because there probably won't be enough money made out of this film for her to get any kind of plastic surgery. Sad, but true. [Image via WENN.] |
| Harvard University Launches Fashion Line, Confuses Everyone Posted: 06 Aug 2009 04:37 PM PDT
Now this is a first. Harvard (yes, that Harvard) is launching a contemporary menswear line called Harvard Yard. The university just signed a ten-year licensing deal with Wearwolf Group, a major clothing manufacturer. The clothes won't say "Harvard University" on them or don the schools colors except in the fine details (think crimson buttonholes) as they aren't geared toward their own students, but a larger contemporary male demographic. The line, which will range in price from $165 for pants to $495 for sport coats, was inspired by photos of students lounging in Harvard Yard in the '60s. John Fowler, creative director for the line, says "it's a style that has become current again and not just with the American consumer. We think Harvard Yard will have global appeal." This is all fine and well, but there is one lingering question… why??? [Image courtesy of Harvard Yard] |

Hey look, it's Pauly Shore! Where has he been hiding?!? Pauly emerged out into the daylight yesterday to hang with some "friends" on Rodeo Drive. Hopefully, it was to do some shopping for better clothes. Did he wear that to bed the night before? Do keep the bandanna though. It suits you! [Image via Buzz Foto.] |

Kevin Federline will milk his F-list fame as much as he possibly can. As we all know, the once-dancer has been looking more well-fed than K-Fed these days. But he's in luck. A weight loss company, Extreme Physical Performance (aka EP-2), is trying to make a deal with him to be the face of their new products and are ready to pay him almost $2 MILLION! Damn! Kirstie Alley must have been asking for too much money, cause seriously, what an absurd person to choose as the face of your brand. A rep for EP-2 says, "Yes, we're trying to do a deal with him, but nothing has been confirmed yet." So we're guessing the talked about NutriSystem deal didn't go through then. We still find it incredible that anyone is even willing to pay this dude at all. He should jump on that quick! But then again, he has Brit Brit's money coming in, so he's got no real hurry. | Jason Segel Signs On For An Adventure Posted: 06 Aug 2009 04:07 PM PDT
Jason Segel has just signed on to star opposite Jonah Hill and Jason Schwartzman in The Adventurer's Handbook. The flick will be directed by Akiva Schaffer for Universal. As for the screenplay, it was penned by Hill, Matt Spicer and Max Winkler, yes, Henry's son, and deals with four childhood buddies who, bored from their bland adulthood, decide to go on a journey around the world inspired by the tales in Mick Conefrey's book, The Adventurer's Handbook: Life Lessons From History's Great Explorers. Segel will play a washed up musician who wasted his youth, and ended up a back-up pianist and alcoholic. Schwartzman will play a pain in the ass Grammy winner and Hill will play an engineer who no longer feels close to his family. We already know Hill and Segel work well together, and we think Schwartzman would fit in nicely. Universal hopes the flick will be in production early 2010. We hope it doesn't suck. Too cute!! Kimora Lee Simmons Kenzo is the baby brother to Ming and Aoki, Kimora's daughters with ex-husband Russell Simmons. And he is definitely one ADORABLE baby! Like, Shiloh-range. The kind of cute that makes you use baby talk even though you don't want to. Congrats to the happy family! |
| Posted: 06 Aug 2009 03:45 PM PDT As a favor to her hubby, Nick Cannon, who just happens to be the host of America's Got Talent, Mariah Carey performed on the show last night. Mimi sang her latest single Obsessed, but there was something off about it all. The performance was very reminiscent of Britney's VMA gig back in 2007: dull, disappointing and down-right awful. Watch her performance (above) and tell us what U think. Try not to fall asleep watching it! |

Lovely! The ladies of The Twilight Saga: New Moon look positively exquisite in their new spread for Glamour magazine. Joining vampire vets and Cullen sisters Nikki Reed and Ashley Green is recently canned Rachelle LeFevre and newcomer Noot Seear, who plays Volturi beauty, Heidi. Noticeably, but not shockingly absent is Kristen Stewart. We don't really mind though. Her sourpuss face can go screw up some other pictures. |
| Mark Ronson Sneakers For Gucci Posted: 06 Aug 2009 03:15 PM PDT
Gucci is launching a "pop-up" sneaker store that will travel the world. The store will stake out in fashionable cities across the globe such as New York, London, Paris, Berlin, and Tokyo and stay at each location for only a few weeks. During its short stay, the store will supply 18 different styles of sneakers, 16 of which will be for men and 2 for women. Adding to the fun, and taking a page from Louis Vuitton and Kanye West, Gucci has commissioned DJ Mark Ronson, SaMAN's brother, to design a unisex sneaker for each city, available in that city only. The He seems like an odd choice for Gucci. Still, we can't wait to see what the store is all about and what Ronson brings to the table. We just wish they were coming to LA! [Image via WENN.] |
