We mentioned some exciting casting news last week for all you Twilighters. The role of Riley, Victoria's vampire accomplice in the third Twilght installment, Eclipse, has been given to Australian newcomer Xavier Samuel. According to reports, Xavier beat out some pretty big names for the role, including the delicious newlywed Channing Tatum and Harry Potter alum Tom Felton. He admits that it was pretty shocking when he heard the news: "I was up against some truly great actors who I'm privileged to be considered among," he says. "It's a fantastic opportunity.” It sure is. Just look what it did to the careers of Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner. Much like the rest of the hunkie vampire flick, Xavier is pretty unknown, having a rather small following down-under in his home of Australia, but this will mark his Hollywood debut. When asked about his role, Xavier reveals he plays a student: "seduced by the villain Victoria, who manipulates him in order to seek her revenge. That's as much as I know really!” Good enough for us! We like this Aussie! What do U think? |

We knew it! There was no way this commercial was real! John Jones IV, the young man featured in the funny and filthy spoof, confirms it was a "spec" commercial produced by Greencard Pictures in Brooklyn (Not Germany!). He claims that the piece was never suppose to air, although we bet now they are pretty happy about it, considering the exposure they're getting. And according to Jones, that is the idea: "These kinds are really in-your-face. The controversy is it's the fact that she's a white girl blowing me and I'm black. That role reversal freaks people out." Yeah it does! Let's see what else you guys got! |

Leonardo DiCaprio''s production company, Appian Way, is joining with Warner Bros. to make a film based on the classic TV series The Twilight Zone . Rand Ravich, the creative mind behind the TV series Life and the film Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, has been hired to write the flick. "I started reading the books and I couldn't put them down," says the model who has strutted for Alexander Wang and Proenza Schouler. A model who reads?! Intriguing!!! "We wanted someone who had an unearthly and unlikely beauty, but could also convey humor and menace," says New Moon director Chris Weitz. "It's rare to find a stunningly attractive person who also happens to have the ability to act." We don't want her anywhere near R-Patz! Say goodbye to the Kindle and hello to the Plastic Logic Reader. Somehow, we like the name Kindle better. But Barnes & Nobles doesn't care. They're out to take Amazon.com's thunder with their own electronic bookstore. B&N will soon offer its customers electronic books to purchase with the ability to read them on computers and other handheld platforms. According to B&N, they will provide access to more than 700,000 titles within the next year, trying to make itself the world's largest eBookstore. Sketchy! Madonna's ex-beau, Chris Paciello, is entrenched in a battle that could turn into a multi-million dollar lawsuit. Sandy Sachs, Paciello's former business partner in West Hollywood restaurant Murano alleges that Paciello convinced a cop buddy to arrest her on fake drunk-driving charges. It's a little shady that the convicted murder accomplice with ties to the mob has friends on the force! Sachs's lawyer, Gerson Horn, claims that Paciello harbored resentment after Sachs sued him because he failed to deliver on a $600,000 investment. Horn says Paciello arranged for Sachs's arrest out of revenge. According to Horn, Paciello can be heard telling Sheriff Ralph Garay to arrest Sachs on dispatch tapes dating to April 16 of this year. Garay, who was off-duty at the time, subsequently made the call for her arrest. At first, cops reported that there was "no evidence that Sandy was drunk." After a little more nudging from Paciello and his girlfriend, however, police went to Sachs's home where she was arrested and, allegedly, abused: Sachs was confronted at her home by several officers. Officer Horn says they "threw her to the ground, handcuffed and pummeled her. Her body was covered with bruises." A blood test confirmed that Sachs was within the legal limit and no charges were pressed at the time. Sachs's case accuses the LAPD of battery, wrongful arrest, and civil rights violations. We're not surprised! In the past two years, Mushy Fartone's pAArtying escalated to such a degree that she lost several close friends. The closest: Nicole Richie!!! "In the last few years, her dark side has really come out," a source, who is close to the former pals, tells People magazine. "Her friends, like Nicole, want to be supportive but they really can't be around her too much. She's too volatile. It makes us sad, but we're also like, 'Pull it together and get help already.'" Mischa, who was placed under psychiatric hold last week, began to drift apart from Richie after she Dehydrated!!!! "Most of her Hollywood friends have distanced themselves from her [since that party]," the source adds to the mag. "After that happened, her friends thought it would be a wake-up call, but it wasn't." Richie's a mom, so she no longer tolerates that shiz! We're glad Mischa is getting help, though!
