A handwritten poem penned by Bob Dylan as a teenager is being put of for auction by Christie's. It was later revealed that the poem, titled Little Buddy - which references a family dog, was a revised version of song by late country singer Hank Snow. The song was recorded 11 years before Dylan's poem! Christie's has acknowledged the discrepancy and the auction will continue as scheduled. What would U pay for Bob Dylan's "brilliance?" His reason for quitting? He announced from Mexico that he is in a romantic relationship with an illegal alien. Doesn't sound that juicy? Well, we forgot to mention that his other half is a MAN! Surprise! Lown, a well-respected public servant, won the most recent re-election with 89 percent of the vote in a very conservative West Texas town. He agreed to come back only "if the people of San Angelo will welcome me back." Scandalicious! He's cute, too! |

The CW Network held their "upfronts" presentations on Thursday and officially announced their new schedule for the fall, which includes the remake of Melrose Place starring Miss Ashlee Simpson Wentz. Angelina Jolie attended the Cannes Film Festival for the premiere of Brad Pitt's film, Inglorious Basterds. And Ange was definitely looking gorgeous on the red carpet with that dress and the killer split. Though we can't say the same thing about her once she got to the after-party! By the looks of things, it seems Ange might have had a bit too much to drink. Momma Jolie looks wasted! And there's nothing wrong with that - every once in a while. There's hope? According to reports, the greatly anticipated Gossip Girl spin off has NOT been killed! Though the show wasn't picked up for the fall, it may be brought on to the schedule for a midseason replacement. Says CW president, Dawn Ostroff, "It was the toughest year we've ever had, figuring out what to pick up, because [our pilots] were all really, really good. We do have room for another midseason show. In all honesty, I think the Gossip Girl spinoff is the show that we would love to be able to find a place for as the season goes on." We hope to see you midseason, Lily! |

Russell Simmons was appointed to be a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador on Wednesday in NYC. Congrats! The hip hop impresario's duties will include raising awareness of global slavery. A trust fund has been launched to contruct a Permanent Memorial honoring the victims of slavery and the trans-Atlantic slave trade. "My commitment in life is to be of service to the empowerment of young people living in struggle, who undoubtedly have been effected by this legacy.
