Are Britney Spears' lawyers controlling her life and draining her bank account? Ever since last year, when a judge determined BritBrit wasn't fit to take care of herself, there have been 17 lawyers and firms involved in her personal life and career. And it's not cheap, obviously! According to court documents, Brit has paid over $2.7 million in attorney fees and costs since the conservatorship! So far, her estate has had to pay these fees, not to mention she's still got current fees going on. Thank goodness she's got her current money-making tour! Brit's current attorneys, repping her dad Jamie Spears, presented the court with the bills on Monday. Their bill was over $1 million alone! Attorney Geraldine Wyle stated, "Since the initiation of the conservatorship, as a result of the concerted efforts of Mr. Spears as well as all the professionals involved, all aspects of Ms. Spears' life have been stabilized and continue to improve." | Rascal Flatts Love Them Some Gays! Posted: 24 Mar 2009 02:55 PM PDT It's somewhat rare for country artists to specifically reach out to and embrace their gay fans. But that's just what Rascal Flatts is doing! The country pop band has just released their new single today, Love Who You Love. Many are taking the song as a sign that the band loves their gay fans as well, particularly due to the fact that the song focuses on gender-free lyrics. Gary LeVox from the band says, "We actually have some gay people that work with us, and we have a lot of friends that are gay, too, and I know that this song has inspired them. I know that coming out was tough on their parents and on them and the whole entire family. For a long time, some of them didn't get to hear 'I love you' from their dads or be accepted in that way. It's helped a lot of our friends." Guitarist Joe Don Rooney added "That's what's cool about our music. You can interpret (it like) that. If you get that — it's perfect. If you are someone who's gay or someone who's straight, you still feel something from the song, and that's what we want." If only everyone felt the same way! Tolerance is key. In so many words, Hulk Hogan basically said he supports daughter Brooke's forays into exotic dancing. At March 15th's Calle Ocho festival in Miami, Brooke Hogan stimulated the audience's gag reflex with a classy pole dancing number while daddy looked on. Hulk told Life & Style, "Of course I was there. I try to make it to as many of Brooke's performances as possible. I support her and everything that she does." As we mentioned last month, Hilary Duff is guest starring on Jennifer Love Hewitt's shiteous TV show, the Ghost Whisperer. That's quite a downgrade for the former Disney star! And, on Tuesday, The Duffster was spotted on the set of Law and Order: Special Victims Unit in Harlem, New York City. Poor Hil! Now she's doing SVU? Someone needs to get a new agent! This might be a bad idea or it might be…a bad idea, but either way, George Lopez is getting his own late night talk show on TBS. The show will feature celebrities and live music and comedy acts in "an outdoor street-party atmosphere." Apparently some dolt over at TBS thinks that Lopez "is a special talent, with an everyman appeal that makes him uniquely positioned to be the next great late-night host." Or shoot TBS in the foot! You know, we think we might have misjudged our Lindsay Lohan. She's actually a brilliant actress! Speaking with E! News, Lindsay portrays someone sober, honest, and free of drama, saying, "I don't drink, I don't do drugs and I don't lie. I love to act and write and be creative, and I want to help people by playing characters that can send a positive message out to whomever may need it." Ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!!!!! She added, "I move forward and I change. Life's too short not to. If people would just leave my personal life alone—because it's really not that interesting—then I could land a great role. But all the sicko fans and the noise is so distracting." Maybe if you quit acting a fool and maintained some semblance of a serious career, we could take you more seriously! Continuing to play her character, Lindsay said, "I'd like to have my own charity, do work overseas, be in Oscar-nominated films, write movies, produce movies/shows/videos, design clothes, make music, write books, etc…. It's all possible if people would just stop judging me and accusing me and making me out to be this aloof, spoiled, ungrateful and unprofessional person that I am not and could never be." She concluded her monologue by saying, "It would be really nice if people would believe in me." And then the folks over at E! gave a warm round of applause as Lindsay bowed and exited stage right. Here's a couple you don't hear much about together! Gossip Girl costars and real life lovers Penn Badgley and Blake Lively were spotted Monday night in New York City. The two lovebirds were seen leaving The Waverly Inn in West Village. Lively and Badgley were reportedly having dinner with producer Harvey Weinstein. Wonder what type of business opportunities they were chatting about???? Though Penn and Blake weren't too happy to spot the paparazzi waiting outside for them. But at least they looked cute! Is Pete Doherty back on crack? The "rocker" has publicly admitted to missing his ex Kate Moss. And his career really isn't much to brag about! With so much to look forward to, it's hard to pinpoint what's wrong with Doperty. Monday night, Pete was spotted arriving at Leeds academy in England for a concert. He actually had a show! And he didn't cancel! Instead of looking ready to perform, his face looked more effed up than usual. Doherty even seems to have been crying! What's wrong Petey? We're truly a little bit worried.
