First Image Of DanRad Playing Someone Other Than Harry Potter!!!

danrad playing someone other than harry potter

Check out the first image (above) of Daniel Radcliffe in a film that DOESN'T take place at Hogwarts!

We think DanRad is looking good in his first non-Harry Potter film, The Woman in Black, which is being produced by Hammer Films, a production company known for making gothic/period-piece horror films.

In the film, Radcliffe plays a young lawyer, Arthur Kipps, who is sent to a remote village to "sort out a recently deceased client's papers." While in the client's house, he discovers a "mysterious woman dressed only in black" and he seeks to uncover her true identity on his own, which leads "to a desperate race against time when he discovers her true intent."

Sounds spooky! We're totally on board!

We'll miss you Harry, but we're def innerested in getting to know you, Arthur Kipps!

Will U be able to accept DanRad in a Harry Potter-less film?

LOLgasmic!

Glee Hits A Season Low In The Ratings!

glee-hits-season-low-in-the-ratings-still-dominates-timesplot

But that doesn't mean it didn't dominate its time slot!

The smash FOX series pulled in about a 4.5 rating, averaging about 10.8 million viewers!

Wowza! It's their lowest, and they're still leaving shows like NCIS and One Tree Hill in the dust!

Impressive, guys! But don't get too cocky - the ratings could still continue to slip! (Pssh. Who are we kidding?!)

Thoughts??

Isaiah Washington's On Team Gibson, Not On Team Sheen

As he hasn't done much else since his Grey's days, when a reporter met up with Isaiah Washington recently at an event, naturally he went into talk about about his leaving the show.

But as Isaiah was recalling his big-mouthed fiasco, he segwayed into talking about other celebrities who have gotten in trouble for similar outbursts. Specifically, he mentions Mel Gibson and Charlie Sheen.

Of the former, Isaiah called Mel a "talented man", with whom he would love to work with. He compared him other actors, such as Steve Seagal and Spike Lee, thespians he refers to as "teetering between genius and madness."

But while working with Mel might be his dream gig, working with Charlie would be a complete nightmare for him. When asked why he wouldn't be as eager to jam with Sheen, Isaiah replied, "I will say this on record: I'm not a fan of that behavior," referring to Charlie's recent meltdowns.

Uh-huh. Your standards seem to be a little off there, Dr. Burke.

former co stars to reunite on hot in cleveland second season

Looks like Valerie Bertinelli's former One Day at a Time co-star Bonnie Franklin is ready to get hot!

Franklin will guest star on Bertinelli's show Hot in Cleveland during the upcoming season, which premieres on TV Land on Jan 19.

This will mark the first time that Bertinelli and Franklin have acted together in a scripted TV show in 26 years!

Another reunion to take place during the upcoming season of Cleveland will be between Betty White and Mary Tyler Moore, who worked together on The Mary Tyler Moore Show back in the 1970s!

Sounds like it should be a fun season! We'll look forward to seeing these reunions when Cleveland starts up again early next year!

Will U tune in for season 2 of Hot In Cleveland in January?

Are Ladies TOO Nice To Get Jobs?

studies show that recommendation letter affect whether or not youll get a job

Looks like you ladies will have to keep a close eye on anybody you choose to write job recommendations for you in the future!

A new study shows that men are more likely to get faculty jobs than women, based largely on how they're described in recommendation letters.

These letters more often identify women with "communal or "emotive" qualities, whereas men are more likely to be described with "agentive" words, which are more appealing to potential employers.

Here are some examples of words used to describe women, which aren't landing them jobs:

"caring, sensitive, agreeable, warm"

And here are words more often used to describe men in recommendation letters:

"assertive, confident, ambitious, independent"

Here's what Rice University professor of psychology Michelle Hebl had to say about the study:

"When you use communal terminology, it is linking people to a feminine type, and they are not seen as credible and they don't get hired. It's not just men doing this to women, and it's not just women being hurt, but it hurts women more."

Should be inneresting to see if more women get these faculty jobs after they learn about this study.

Even if you are truly caring and sensitive, it sounds like these companies would prefer ambitious and confident women working their buildings, ladies!

Keep a close eye on those letter writers, bbs! If someone is willing to take the time to write you a recommendation letter, we're sure they wouldn't mind throwing in some "agentive" words to describe you with!

What do U think of this study? Do U think it's legit, or not so much?
