Our Favorite X Factor Performance Of The Weekend Was…

Posted: 03 Oct 2010 03:45 PM PDT

Song selection is critical in shows like X Factor. And, thankfully, Aiden Grimshaw shows the stunning STUNNING Cannonball by the deliriously talented Damien Rice.

The song and the performance showed off Aiden extremely well!

We look forward to seeing more from him as the competition goes on!

X Factor: Cher Falls To Pieces!

Posted: 03 Oct 2010 03:40 PM PDT

What happened????

Cher Lloyd had been our favorite X Factor hopeful this season, yet she completely crumbled at judges' house!

Yes, she was sick, but that happens. A true professional has to muster up all their energy and preserver, soldier on and not let excuses be a crutch for a bad performance.

Plus, if the pressure is getting to her NOW, it's only going to get worse and worse as the weeks go on.

And then SHE GAVE UP!!!!

WTF????

Why would you give up and not come back after Cheryl gave you another chance?????

Lame!

Does Cher have what it takes to make it?????

We still think she does!

She's only 16 years old! And, despite this setback, she still is fresh and fierce, talented and likable - with a strong sense of self and style.

This competition is hers to win - or lose!

Check out Cher's performance of Mike Posner's Cooler Than Me (above).

Thoughts????

P.S. Katie Waissel is wretched!!!! Hope she gets voted off after the first live show!

X Factor: We Love A Good Girl Group!

Posted: 03 Oct 2010 03:33 PM PDT

Wow. Wow. Wow.

We can't believe they were just assembled in bootcamp because Belle Amie gel together quite well!!!!

The girls auditioned individually but were chosen to be in this group, instead.

And we are REALLY liking them!!!

Check out their performance of George Michael's classic Faith (above).

X Factor: Let's Hear It For The Boys!

Posted: 03 Oct 2010 03:28 PM PDT

Simon Cowell really lucked out this season with TWO really good acts!

The girls are gonna love One Direction!

The group was made up of individual acts that auditioned for X Factor but weren't quite good enough to make it on their own. Together, though, they're very promising!

Check out their judges' house performance of Natalie Imbruglia's Torn (above).

Comic Ralphie May Busted For Pot Possession

Tsk Tsk!

Comedian Ralphie May, winner of NBC's Last Comic Standing and former cast member on VH1's Celebrity Fit Club, was detained at the international airport in Guam after he was suspected for having a bag of marijuana in his luggage.

A customs agency dog named Nickey, sniffed the marijuana out, which ended up weighing less than an ounce.

Because the amount was so small, May had to go to court and only pay a fine of up to $100.

"If it was more than an ounce it's handled differently," Santo Tomas, a customs agen, said. "But for this particular thing he was to show up and pay a fine."

May's promoter, James Castro, who brought him to Guan to perform, said that May expressed regrets and he looks forward to returning to Guam. "He plans on coming back with his family and will not be doing that again," Castro said.

Ha! We hope not!

Jon Stewart Fires Back At Rick Sanchez!

At Comedy Central's "Night of Too Many Stars," on Saturday night, Jon Stewart shot back at Rick Sanchez's "bigot" comments, saying, "If you went on the radio and said the Jews control the media…you may want to hold on to your money."

Then Stewart added that all Sanchez has to do "is apologize to us, and we'll hire him back."

Other celebs like David Letterman and Tom Brokaw also addressed the controversy, with Letterman making a surprise appearance and joking that he was in the city, "helping Rick Sanchez clean out his office."

LOLs.

The benefit will air on Comedy Central Oct. 21. We'll definitely be watching that.

Kanye West Gives One Of The Best Performances Of His Life!

Posted: 03 Oct 2010 02:40 PM PDT

This is like poetry in motion!

This is art!

Kanye didn't so much recreate his Power video as he "reinterpreted" it for his Saturday Night Live performance.

It is stunning!

If you missed it, you have to check it out (above)!

New Nadine Coyle!

Posted: 03 Oct 2010 02:20 PM PDT

We love her - we really do - but the Girls Aloud singer needs a new team around her! She needs better folks advising her, especially as she's trying to go solo and follow in the very successful footsteps of Cheryl Cole.

Unfortunately, Nadine Coyle's debut solo single is uninspired and her just-released music video for Insatiable is just as boring.

This is gonna be good!!

Finally, some news are coming out about Britney Spears' upcoming album!

It's been confirmed that long-time Britney collaborator Max Martin will be executive producing the album, which as all Britney fans know, will be A-MAZING since he's responsible for classic Brit Brit hits like …Baby, One More Time, Oops…I Did It Again, Lucky, and If U Seek Amy.

Another collaborator/co-executive producer will be Dr. Luke, who helped produce Circus and Shattered Glass, and even better yet is "responsible for 40% of the current top 10 songs on the Billboard Hot 100."

This album is going to be off the chizzain! Classic Britney sound with a touch of hit-making pop!

We can't wait!!

Unfortunately, we will have to though, as the album isn't scheduled to release until 2011. Whomp whomp.

Are U excited for Britney's album??
