Great news! Leonardo DiCaprio was granted a restraining order against Aretha Wilson who was accused of attacking the actor in the face with a beer bottle back in 2005. He was at a private Hollywood party when the 40-year-old woman hit the side of his head with a broken beer bottle, sending him to the hospital to get stitches on his face and neck. She fled to Canada, but she was extradited to LA recently to face a charge of assault with a deadly weapon. She has been ordered not to be in contact with or come within 500 yards of Leo. Wilson's bail has also been raised from $60,000 to $150,000 because there is concern of her "willingness and ability to come back to court." Yikes! [Image via WENN.] |

Don't Worry, George Lucas will still have plenty of billions leftover. The creator of the multi-billion dollar Star Wars franchise has agreed to take part in The Giving Pledge, which consists of a group of billionaires who agree to give away half of their wealth to charity. The pledge was started by Warren Buffett and Bill Gates, who could easily part with half of their respective fortunes. For those members who feel they need to shed even more billions, there is no cap on how much money one can donate to the pledge (Buffett has pledged 99% off his wealth). We're very impressed. All of a sudden, Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace seems slightly more watchable, and we might be less inclined to roll our eyes the next time we watch one of those Windows 7 "I'm a PC" commercials. We think he'd be a great choice! Stellan Skarsgard is in talks to join the US remake of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. He's slated to play Martin Vanger, one of the suspects involved in the 40-year-old disappearance of a teenage girl. Skarsgard says:

After the official announcement was made this morning on the Entertainment Tonight website that Mary Hart was jumping ship, we were wondering how long it would take the show to announce her replacement. Last week, rumors were circulating that Mary was getting the axe so that newer, younger, perkier Lara Spencer from The Insider could take her place. Although the show didn't allegedly give her said axe, sources are still suggesting that Mary is being replaced by Lara! In fact, insiders are reporting that the deal for the switch has been in place for years and that a signed deal was completed months ago. However, the show has still made no official announcement on who will be Mary's successor. Guess they're trying to let Mary enjoy the spotlight for a bit! Whatevs! We see what's going down!
