Local News Stations Glad To See The Big O Go! Posted: 30 Mar 2010 05:45 PM PDT This isn't too much of a shocker. Looks like The Oprah Winfrey Show costs a pretty penny to license and distribute, and local news station are looking forward to when the Queen of talk goes off-air so they can save money!! A source says: "Oprah's ratings have eroded so much that the image of Oprah is much stronger than the reality of Oprah, either as a news lead-in or as a money-maker. In many cases, Oprah is a stunning loss leader. There are people who are deeply thankful she is calling it quits." They go on to say that whomever comes in to replace the Big O will be "unlikely to get Oprah-sized ratings but are far cheaper." Wow. We can only imagine what kind of licensing fees those stations have to pay to put the show on the air!! What do U think?? Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kim Zolciak is supposedly on the outs from girlfriend DJ Tracey Young because Tracey felt that Kim couldn't fully commit to her! An insider reveals: "They have split up because Tracey was sick and tired of her constantly going back to Lee Najaar [aka Big Poppa]. Tracey is about to move from Los Angeles to New York and she wanted Kim to make more of a commitment but she was unwilling to do so and they have broken up as a result. "They are trying to remain friends but it looks like a long-term relationship between the pair is not going to pan out. Ultimately, it's up to Kim though. She really has to make the decision but it seems that she has opted for Lee." Well Big Poppa has the big money, doesn't he? We're not surprised by her choice one bit — someone's gotta buy the wigs! CNN Plummets In Ratings Posted: 30 Mar 2010 05:00 PM PDT How are they suppose to compete with the likes of Kate Gosselin and Lost with ACTUAL news?! CNN has just gotten their ratings report card back and things aren't looking too good. The ratings are significantly down in all of its primetime hours, with hosts like Larry King pulling half the viewership he did a year ago. Sources explain that the network, along with MSNBC, are trailing the Fox News Channel, home of Bill O'Reilly and Sarah Palin by a bundle, which is just about the saddest reflection of our country right now. Just to put it in numbers for you: Larry's audience dropped 43 percent for the quarter and 52 percent in March! That is devastating to networks! But as if that wasn't enough, another low blow to the network came in February when CNN trailed every other news network on TV, including it's own sister network, HLN. You need a Sexy Sarah, CNN! You need some kind of gimmick! And you need it quick!

Scarface Is Back. (Do U Know Him?) Posted: 30 Mar 2010 04:45 PM PDT It's been a little over a year since rapper Scarface quit retired from music and dropped his last album. But now, he has announced he is releasing an independent mixtape and is looking to get back into the game. He explains that he never really left the craft, just the business and sees the opportunity to come back to the fold with his new stuff. He says: "I love music, I eat, sleep and shit music. I always wanted to drop a mixtape on my own. So I just said, 'Let's drop an independent mixtape.' I feel that I should be an adult and musician and pioneer - that's what they call me. I feel that I need to move on to another stage with the way I deliver my music to the public. I got a lot of shit and I'm using about three per cent of what I know about music. I'm not using it all. I'm music. I can play that shit long enough for a real musician to catch it and feel me, where I'm going, and we make magic like that." Magic, huh? Well, we'll see about that. We don't see too much of a point coming back to the biz now, especially since we can't remember who the hell you were then. But that's just us. What about U?

R.I.P. Posted: 30 Mar 2010 04:30 PM PDT Actress June Havoc passed away on Sunday at her home in Stamford, Connecticut due to natural causes. She was a former child vaudeville star, whose life with her sister Gypsy Rose Lee and overbearing stage mother was portrayed in the musical Gypsy. When June was 2, she was playing the circuit and billed as the "Tiniest Toe Dancer in the World." As she got older, her mother kept her in the same act and in at attempt to move on, June married a boy from the act. She was just a teenager and entered dance marathons to survive. Havoc went on to star in Four Jacks and a Jill, My Sister Eileen, Gentleman's Agreement, Pal Joey and The June Havoc Show. June even received a Tony nomination for best director in a play she also wrote, Marathon '33. She was 97-years-old.

Liza Marquez, the mother of CSI Miami star David Caruso's 2 children, is claiming that he owes her 2 settlement payments of $335,000 from January 2009 and 2010 and the third payment of the same sum will be due in January 2011. Marquez also fired her lawyer and is now representing herself after alleging she received bad legal advice. The next hearing will be on May 4, 2010. Does Caruso even have that kind of cash?!
