Although he denies being a member, most people don't give that kind of $$$$ to any ol' According to a 2008 tax filing, Will Smith and his wife, Jada, donated $70,000 to Scientology groups in 2008 via his Will Smith Foundation - $60,000 to the World Literacy Crusade and ABLE International. This comes after undergoing criticism for using Scientology teaching methods at his Southern California private school, The New Village Leadership Academy. The Smiths even replaced the school's headmaster for another who happened to have completed Scientology classes. Pretty suspicious! Will, who once claimed that the sect founded by L. Ron Hubbard, "is 98% like the Bible" donated a total of $122,000 to Scientology groups last year! And Smith previously stated, "You have people who are attacking and want to fight. And don't know nothing. How you gonna not know nothing about Scientology and attack somebody? It's dangerous and it's ignorant. And as an American I'm not gonna be a part of that." But, why?! | Farrah Fawcett's Son Sentenced To Residential Rehab Posted: 18 Sep 2009 04:45 PM PDT
Redmond O'Neal, son of Ryan O'Neal and the late Farrah Fawcett, was sentenced to a year in a residential drug treatment program on Friday. He pleaded no contest against the charges he faced for bringing heroin into a jail facility and will now be moved from prison to a rehab facility. The ruling comes with grave consequences if he screws up again. The judge "ordered three years of formal probation and a six-year suspended state prison sentence, meaning if O'Neal violates his probation in any way, he could go to prison for up to six years." Everyone seems to love these broads! For 3 weeks in a row, Bravo's The Real Housewives of Atlanta has been first in the ratings in their time slot for cable entertainment telecasts. They even beat out Project Runway, which as you know has strutted over to the Lifetime network. Heidi is probably PISSED! The Atlanta ladies are now poised to be the highest rated in the Real Housewives series, averaging 2.9 million viewers, up 121% from the first season! This attention whore must be loving it! Kim Cattrall was walking around NYC on Friday in a wedding dress while filming scenes for Sex & The City 2. Her character, Samantha Jones, is the only one left who hasn't gotten hitched. Will this movie mark the end of Samantha's bachelorette lifestyle? We hope not!! Where's the fun in that?! The dress is rather stunning, though, and she does look quite lovely. But NO! Bonner claims, "someone from the Jackson family came by my house and shot a 22 pistol in the air. They turned around in a neighbor's driveway and drove away." Uh, why?! Even Jermaine has something better to do! The wackjob also accuses Jackson of stealing nine copyrights and the idea for an automobile insurance policy that "would revolutionize insurance for cars in America." Oprah Winfrey has invaded NYC! And just when we got back to L.A., dangit! A healthy-looking Oprah was in Central Park on Friday taping a special episode for The Oprah Winfrey Show. Some of her special guests were native New Yorker talk show hosts Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa, NYC Mayor Bloomberg, and the still curl-cued Mariah Carey! Not only is she a skanky evangelical hypocrite, but divine forces have deemed it so! While speaking at the conservative Value Voters Summit on Friday, Carrie Prejean had the nerve to tell the crowd that she was chosen by God to oppose gay marriage! WTF?! "God had a plan for me that day," she said about the Miss USA competition. If he's watching over pageants, we've got bigger problems! "I could not believe that they were asking that question at Miss USA," said the former Miss California about our very astute question on gay marriage. "I'm so proud of the answer that I gave. God chose me for that moment." Reeeeeeeaaaallly?! "I was a woman who stood up for the truth and people don't want to admit that. I had the courage and the bravery that a lot of people don't have," said the half plastic martyr. But, God didn't choose for you to have bigger boobies. You went against his will! The self righteousness continued, "I am not defeated, they have not defeated me. They can say whatever they want about me and my faith. I always wanted to leave a legacy of courage and boldness and to show that to young people." Maybe she should thank God for us! We mentioned yesterday that Kate Gosselin's new "mom-centric" talk show with Paula Deen is set to start shooting over the weekend and the first guest has now been revealed! Mel B will join Kate and Paula for the pilot, taping Sunday in New York. Spicy and a good choice! Not only because she's a working mom, but Mel B has also gone through a humiliating public break-up with a douche! The gals can bond! The other co-hosts have been announced as well. We thought it was one of most befitting tributes to Michael Jackson to date, when his sister, Janet Jackson, took to the stage last Sunday for the MTV VMAs and performed their hit Scream. The routine featured Janet dancing in-sync with the original footage of Michael from the music video. Now, on Saturday, the network will broadcast an in-depth look at how the performance was conceived. The Making Of Janet Jackson's Video Music Award Tribute Performance will give a behind the scenes look at Janet's performance "from the first day of rehearsals in Los Angeles, CA to show day when Janet and her team of choreographers took to the stage for the performance of a lifetime, where they recreated one of the most unforgettable music videos ever, Scream."
