Rapper/singer Drake may have seriously injured his already-banged up knee on Friday night!!! Lil' Wayne's "America's Most Wanted" touring partner was performing his breakthrough hit, Best I Ever Had, with Wayne when the former Degrassi: The Next Generation star collapsed in the middle of a spin! Witnesses at the show in Camden, New Jersey, said Drake "put his head down because he was in so much pain." Four men carried Drake off the stage and left Lil' Wayne hanging in the middle of the performance. Oops! Drake tore his ACL before the tour started, but made the decision to continue on with the tour, without the green light from his doc. The rapper's doctor warned Drake he may never walk again if he managed to tear his ACL a second time. Let's hope that's not the case!!! [Image via Mason360.com.] |

With no luck selling his sex tape, Dustin Diamond shifted gears about a year ago to selling something people might actually want to buy: a tell-all memoir about his days on the 90's sitcom Saved By The Bell. He had a deal set up with Gotham Books, who seemed rather enthusiastic about the project. The deal memo promised "sexual escapades among cast members, drug use, and hardcore partying." And really, who doesn't want to read about that?! However, it has been recently confirmed that the publisher dropped the book three months ago upon receipt of the manuscript. Rumors are circulating that the book was considered "unpublishable" by the editors because the allegations about Dustin's fellow cast members were considered "unverifiable." No, really?! We thought he was a completely reliable source! Jarred Weisfeld, Screech's literary agent, denies the rumors completely, saying: "That's 100 percent bogus. It wasn't the right home for the book. Sometimes people don't gel. There were no problems whatsoever—just, things didn't gel. If things don't gel, you stop and move on…This one just wasn't meant to be." Yeah, that statement doesn't gel with us. We tend not to gel well with bullshit. That's just how we gel! No worries to anyone who is honestly and truly looking forward to this book. Screech's crackpot team found another publisher in Montreal, who promises the book will be in your awaiting hands come Sept. 29. Admit it. How many of U are going to read this? Three of you? Four??? Michael Feeney Callan is penning a biography about Robert Redford (creatively titled Robert Redford: The Biography) and it promises to spare no details! In the book, due out in November from Knopf Publishing, Callan details Redford's work on set, including the unsavory experience of directing Scarlett Johansson in Redford's 1998 film, The Horse Whisperer. While Redford acknowledges that Scarlett is a talented actress, apparently the then-13-year-old was difficult to work with and not willing to take Redford's direction. According to Callan, Scarlett's unconventional approach to mastering scenes and back-talk were a constant source of tension on set. Further, Scarlett's manager/stage mother was a nightmare to work with, undermining Redford's directing with her own take on the way scenes should be approached. Yikes! Hopefully ScarJo has mended her bratty ways - she was thirteen at the time, after all. Doesn't make it okay to talk back to a respected director, especially as such a young girl with little experience at that point, but we bet that over the years and with maturity, she's less of a pain to work with. Right???? |

Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor has left Twitter and since he's never been one to hold back, discusses the evils of the latest social networking phenomenon. "Yes, I deleted my account and I'll explain why since somehow someone apparently thinks this is newsworthy," says Reznor. "Twitter seemed like an interesting way to quickly reach a large number of people, and people that seem to exist outside of the nin.com world of fans." He's pretty vocal for hating press!!! The singer continues, "Then… around the time news broke of my engagement, a faction of troublemakers showed up whose sole intent was to disrupt, harass, insult and incite…In a reasonably moderated community, these people can be made to vanish - on Twitter, it's a free-for-all - hence they flock there. It depresses me to think my art and life's work can attract this kind of scum…if that was your intention you trolling, cowardly pigs - you've succeeded." Reznor is such a drama queen! P.S. Considered by many as the "world's largest Harley-Davidson dealer", 66-year-old Bruce Rossmeyer died on Thursday in a motorcycle accident. While riding in a rally in Wyoming, Bruce was hit by a Ford pickup truck attempting to make a turn while he was trying to pass. The two collided, and Bruce, who was not wearing a helmet, struck the driver's side door. Bruce was known for his love of his hogs and as a big supporter of children's charities. Torchwood star John Barrowman is getting desperate - literally! The openly gay 42-year-old hottie, who released a song last year, is trying hard to get some extra work. In fact, Barrowman has revealed that he'll be meeting up with Desperate Housewives execs in Los Angeles soon to discuss a potential role. Barrowman said during a recent radio interview that "I probably shouldn't say this but I've got a meeting with the execs of Desperate Housewives. Can you believe it, I'm going to be a Desperate Housewife!" Let's hope he didn't just jinx it! But adding this piece of yummy to the show will definitely bring some new eye candy. Alright, who's more fierce: Tyra Banks or Blair Waldorf? We're soon to find out as it has been confirmed that Tyrannosaurus will be making an appearance on the CW hit Gossip Girl this season. She is slated to show up in the 4th episode of the season and (shocker!) she won't be playing herself. She'll actually be portraying an actress co-starring in a film with Hilary Duff's character. Inneresting! The last thing we remember seeing Tyra "act" in was straight-to-Disney Channel movie, in which she played a doll that comes to life to guide little Lindsay Lohan to a path of beauty. Turns out Pope Benedict XVI will soon release a record composed of Lauretan litanies and prayers. For realz! The record, Alma Mater, is going to be released through Geffen Records. And, according to execs at Geffen, listeners will be "shocked" by the Pope's "incredible voice" and will feature him using five different languages. The album will have eight tracks of music with Benedict singing one song and the others will feature music accompanying his prayers. The Pope had originally been working on an album with the Choir of the Philharmonic Academy of Rome. That's when Geffen Pres, Colin Barlow, says, "We travelled to Rome, heard some of the music and realised it was a beautiful piece of music and something that actually could be an incredible record for us to work on. It's very much about delivering a really brilliant piece of music and making sure we treat it with the respect it deserves." And there's a nice outcome coming from this. The proceeds will go to provide music education for underprivileged kids worldwide. Expect the album to be released on November 30th of this year. Just in time for Christmas. What a coincidence!
