Jessica Simpson is picking up the pieces of her sadness and is making an attempt to be sociable. Yesterday, it was totally to her benefit. She showed up at a listening party for her dad's newly signed artist, An Ya. (Hey, neither one of his kids makes music anymore so someone has to save Papa Joe Records!) Anyway, Jessica arrived with her mother Tina in West Hollywood and was greeted by jeweler Pascal Mouawad, who was hosting the soiree. Pascal invited them upstairs, where they stayed for about 30 minutes. Jessica returned sporting thousands of dollars of jewelry, including a $10,000 ring, which were hers to keep! Absolutely free! Lucky! We've heard of girls having to give jewelry back after a breakup, but never receiving any! Maybe it won't mend the broken heart, but it sure will make her look like a fancy depressed person! Ryan Ross and John Walker, formerly of Panic! at the Disco have embarked on their new musical project: The Young Veins! The former Panic! boys were leaning towards The Guts as the name of their new musical venture, but decided it was "too punk" for their retro project and stuck with The Young Veins. Ross and Walker are hoping to release their recently recorded single, possibly called Change, this week through either their official website or MySpace. Will U be checking it out?? We see the potential! Mad Men's Jon Hamm will star opposite Ben Affleck in the romantic crime thriller, The Town. The film, which is based on the Chuck Hogan novel Prince of Thieves, follows the relationship between a career criminal (Affleck) and bank manager (Rebecca Hall) being trailed by an FBI agent (Hamm). We love us some The crazy Brit is always up to something new - or someone! But somehow we think she's taking her desire to look like a Barbie doll a bit too much to the extreme. Price was spotted on Monday driving around England in her new and fully customized pink horse trailer. You know, cause apparently her horses just don't like the color white. Sorry guys! Diddy and Lil' Wayne's new albums have gone the way of Mimoo's! Both Diddy's and Wayne's albums (as well as Mariah's) have been pushed back! Lil' Wayne's much anticipated Rebirth was supposed to come out on June 23rd, but yeah, that didn't happen! Wayne's label has yet to announce a new release date for the rock album. Diddy claims he's delayed the release of Last Train to Paris because it's "Jay-Z time and Drake time," but isn't that just narcissistic-tinged way of saying he can't compete with either???
