Survivor: The Australian Outback star, Michael Skupin, may have braved the wilderness, but can he brave the IRS? Apparently Skupin owes income taxes from 2002-2004, and he and his wife owe $6,764 in delinquent property taxes, interest and fees on their house on the shore of Pontiac Lake, nor have they paid their 2008 summer or winter taxes. Bret Michaels has lived with the diabeetus since childhood. However, he's not gonna let the disease cramp his style! The accident-prone rocker tells Elle magazine that the disease hasn't really affected his sex life, except when he "will sometimes hold off on the insulin, which will jack my blood sugar level up to the low 200 range. It's like how a prizefighter will want to go into the ring with his blood sugar levels high. It gives you the stamina of a bull. So, yes, sometimes I will endanger my own life to pleasure a woman." It would seem that the women in Katie Holmes' family really know how to pick'em. Over the recent Easter weekend, Katie's sister, Tamara, lost her estranged husband, J. Jeffrey Fretti, to heart failure. Fretti ran a successful funeral home in the Toledo, Ohio area. Or at least what everyone thought was successful. It turns out that Fretti had embezzled money from four dozen patrons who paid in advance for funeral preparations. Officials have found a total of $180,000 missing from the records of the home. The money was logged in a special account overseen solely by Fretti and was supposedly established to hold "preneed funds" or money for "burial goods and services prior to death." According to the records, instead of following the required procedure of depositing the funds in the special "preneeds" trust fund, Fretti diverted the money into an account he used for ordinary business expenses. On top of that, he had owed the bank a total of $495,000 on the funeral home! So even now, with the property and business being sold off, there is little chance any customers will get their money back. What a terrible ordeal for these families to go through. Did she hire a new stylist? Whatever Kathy Griffin has been doing recently, she needs to keep it up. The funnylady has been looking pretty damn hot lately. And that didn't change last night as she was spotted leaving her hotel while heading to the Ed Sullivan Theater for an appearance on the Late Show With David Letterman, her first appearance in over a decade - since their "ban" on her had been lifted. Venezuelan President and critic of the US Government, Hugo Chavez, has demanded that Coke Zero be pulled from his nation because it poses a health threat. Health Minister Jesus Mantilla did not specify these health threats, but strongly advised that "the product should be withdrawn from circulation to preserve the health of Venezuelans." That's it for Coke Zero! What's the health threat, though???? Tell! We drink that shiz! |

Russian traffic police have recruited Brad Pitt to help slow traffic in Siberia. That sounds insane! Cardboard cutouts of the actor dressed as a traffic cop have been placed by the most dangerous intersections in the city of Omsk. Apparently, the campaign is working because officials claim accidents are down while drivers slow down to gaze. They are probably wondering what the hell is going on!!!! Pitt is "kind of like a colleague for us," said Dmitry Ziryanov, a local official who came up with the idea. Weird! We think they should put them up in El Lay!!! The photogs would be so confused! Looks like Alex Rodriguez's real estate agent, Adam Modlin, doubles as a matchmaker. Modlin, a long time friend of A-Rod's, was the one who introduced him to Kate Hudson. Thanks a lot, buddy! A source reveals, "Adam has known Kate for a while, as well. He's been showing her townhouses in the West Village for about a year now. He thought Alex and Kate would like one another, and sure enough, when they connected, it was a home run." Another insider adds that the two lovebirds met as early as November of last year. Revealing that A-Rod and Kate met "in Miami at the Fountainebleau hotel opening in November '08 - Adam introduced them. The first five to 10 minutes of their conversation was about Adam. At the time, A-Rod was all about Madonna." Hudson and A-Rod were even spotted kissing and being all over each other recently at the 40/40 club, which A-Rod partly owns. The source adds that "Alex was holding Kate's hand the whole time and stealing kisses whenever he could. He is so into her and doesn't even mind when his friends tease him about her." The role was supposed to go to Brian Austin Green, but a deal could not be reached. We're okay with that. Hopefully, he will remain shirtless the entire season.
