Who knew that Green Day would experience this sort of longevity? It looks like their next album, 21st Century Breakdown, is headed for the top of the charts once it is released this Friday. Even with less on-sale days than most albums (most new music is released on Tuesday), it is likely to come out on top. According to sources, 650,000 copies of the album have been shipped to retailers. Good luck, boys! |

As we've been following… Spider-Man is coming to Broadway. And it's gonna cost millions, $40 million to be exact! This has disaster written all over it… But there is some hope! For one, Julie Taymor is directing, and U2 is doing the music. That brings us to the third glimmer: Alan Cumming is in talks to play the Green Goblin. We can see that. He always plays a good villain. The hold up for actually signing him is, what else, money. Though Sony is burning money up on actual show expenses, they want to be able to cut corners with actor salaries. It's a gamble, Cumming! In Peru, Interior Minister Mercedes Cabanillas has banned gays from the police force. The new law states that anyone who has sexual relations with someone of the same gender will be indefinitely suspended from the police force. But the law doesn't stop there! The same goes for people who cheat on their spouses, and people who organize and participate in strikes or protests. So basically, if you're a cop in Peru, you've given up a lot of your basic rights…even as you're supposed to be protecting the rights of others. When can we finally evolve and learn to see people as…well, people. |

See, this is why you stay away from your husband's ex-wives! Tori Spelling got a mouthful from Mary Jo Eustace, ex-wife of Spelling's husband, Dean McDermott, whom the 90210 star started having sex with while both were married to other people. When Tori and Mary Jo finally met, she had some choice words for Spelling and she included it all in her new book: "I told her I thought [her] behavior thus far had been the height of insensitivity and rudeness." The behavior she is referring to, of course, is Tori having an affair with Dean that ultimately ended his marriage to Mary back in 2005. When Mary did confront Tori, she tried to plead to her sense of morals: "I tried to explain that we were a real family, with a new baby and a substantial history, and there were serious consequences to all of this…" It doesn't seem like any of that helped, though, Mary.
