For Mother's Day, AOL conducted an online survey asking parents to rate which celebrities they would feel most comfortable leaving their kids with. And parents picked Ellen DeGeneres and her wife, Portia de Rossi! The couple beat out Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. Jennifer Aniston beat Ange too. WTF???? Nor did Angelina do well in the Best Mom category, ranking only number 5 in a list topped by Jennifer Garner. Garner was followed by first lady Michelle Obama and Reese Witherspoon in a tie. Is Vin Diesel on his way back in the hot list? Paramount is bumping up its production of the Vin vehicle Wheelman, an adaption of a video game of the same name which stars a virtual Diesel. In the flick, "Diesel will play an expert driver who comes out of retirement to protect a woman from his past" - whatever that means. The film will be directed by 2 Fast 2 Furious' John Singleton and will no doubt feature a lot of cars flying through the air with the greatest of ease. [Image via WENN.] |

Sources are saying that the widely popular video game Guitar Hero could be spawning its own reality television show or even perhaps a real-life concert tour. The franchise is owned by Activision (the brains behind Worlds of Warcraft) and CEO Bobby Kotick sees the potential in the video game. While he thinks it "might make for a good TV show or a good concert tour," he wouldn't comment on the speculation of a movie as well. But don't worry video gamers, they haven't forgetten about the actual GAMES. Activision Blizzard this year will release several new Guitar Hero games including DJ Hero, which uses a turntable controller for hip-hop, Motown and other dance music, and Band Hero, which caters to younger players and features top-40 hits. Guitar Hero: Van Halen and Guitar Hero: Smash Hits also are set for release. We think this might be taking it too far. What do U think? [Image via WENN.] |

Keanu Reeves is slated to star in a modern retelling of The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. The film, simply titled Jekyll, will be backed by Universal Pictures and have Reeves play the genius doctor who successfully splits his personality in two. Saaphyri, of I Love Money 2, updated her Twitter page with some disturbing news: "If you haven't heard that I'm in jail, you know now. Yes it's true. If you like you can write me. my cousin is maintaining my twitter account." Well, at least she isn't freaking out! Reports are saying that the reality star will be serving a three-year prison sentence for failure to appear in court after being arrested for stealing her uncle's identity back in 2004. Even though Babs' televised concert special was a big ol' stinkarooni, Streisand sure knows how to push a DVD! Barbra's new three-disc DVD set,Streisand: The Concerts, is currently sitting atop the Billboard Top Music DVD chart in the States and the UK at #1! As if Dolly Parton wasn't already fabulous, she can now add a PHD to her list of accomplishments. Our favorite country diva received her honory degree in humane and musical letters from University of Tennessee in Knoxville. The audience of 1,069 new graduates from the College of Arts and Sciences gave Parton a rightly deserved standing ovation. Dolly was thrilled and even made a quip or two in her acceptance speech: "So when people say something about 'Double-D,' they will be thinking of something entirely different." Loves her.
