| Government Is On Alert! The Killer Virus Is On The Attack In The U.S. Posted: 26 Apr 2009 05:13 PM PDT
The U.S. government declared on Sunday a public health emergency to deal with the outbreak of the swine flu in America. Officials reported 20 U.S. cases of swine flu in five states so far, with the latest in Ohio and New York. The new flu strain has already killed as many as 81 people in Mexico. Much like the government does to prepare for approaching hurricanes, the federal emergency plan calls for several steps, including moving a flu drug stockpile to areas where it can be used quickly if needed. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napilotano says roughly 12 million doses of the drug Tamiflu are being released from a federal stockpile so that states can get it if needed. [Image via WENN.] |

| It's Critical! Jamie Lynn Spears' Boyfriend Reportedly Injured In Serious Car Wreck Posted: 26 Apr 2009 12:26 PM PDT
Oh, no!!!!! Multiple reports state that Casey Aldridge, the father of Jamie Lynn Spears' daughter, Maddie, was rushed to the emergency room this weekend after being involved in a bad car accident. Casey is in a Jackson, Mississippi, hospital after a serious wreck Saturday night. Jamie Lynn is at his side. Aldridge was driving home from a fishing trip in Amite Counts, MS, when he wrecked his Ford F150 with two male pals in the car, one of whom broke his collar bone. According to one report, Casey has a blood clot near his brain and is about to undergo surgery at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Our thoughts go out to him and his family! This time it's for real - we think! Spencer Pratt made Heidi Montag his bride in Pasadena, California, on Saturday. There were supposed to be some "surprises", but we spoiled them before the wedding! As PerezHilton.com was the first to exclusively report. Lauren Conrad attended the ceremony. Sources tell us that Spencer faked an apology to L.C. to get her to show up at the wedding. And she fell for it! Laguna Beach alum Kristin Cavallari also was a guest at the nuptials. Insiders tipped us off beforehand and also revealed exclusively to PerezHilton.com that she is going to be joining the cast of The Hills for at least six episodes next season, possibly more.
