Inspired casting! Here's one flick we is almost a guaranteed hit. MGM, along with the Farrelly brothers, Peter and Bobby, are almost done confirming their cast for their latest movie, The Three Stooges. Set to play Larry will be Sean Penn and playing Moe they'd like to get Benicio Del Toro. So who's going to play chubster Curly? Execs are going after Jim Carrey for that rule. He's reportedly intent on taking it and is already planning to gain 40 pounds to look more like the portly character. Seriously, 40 lbs for a movie? Why not just wear a fat suit?! The film has been in the making for almost a decade. The Farrelly bros, who wrote the script, first went to Columbia and then Warner Bros., before going to MGM and getting picked up. We're betting Columbia and WB are going to regreat passing this up! The movie begins production this fall and should be released later in 2010. [Image via WENN.] |

Being a single father's a lot of work! Enriquetta Martin left the twinsies at home and surprised the nightlife set by making a rare appearance at Mansion in Miami Beach on Wednesday night at "happy house" DJ Roger Sanchez's Moet & Chandon Winter Music Conference Party. The new daddy snuck in low profile and showed off some fancy footwork "pumping his fist in the air" and hanging with (straight and married) French DJ extraordinaire David Guetta (pictured together). The ex Menudo member stayed out til 330am, sipping on Fiji water, and hanging with a group of male friends. Kiki needs a trip to a relaxin spa. Get a facial, a few massages. Finally! FIVE years after their commercially and critically successful last release, American Idiot, Green Day has announced that their 8th studio album will be available for purchase May 15th. If you can't wait that long, the first single off of 21st Century Breakdown, "Know Your Enemy," will be available sometime in April. According to an Entertainment Weekly sneek peak, 21st doesn't deviate too much from the style established in Idiot, and is even divided into three acts: "Heroes and Cons," "Charlatans and Saints," and "Horseshoes and Handgrenades." As we first told you about last year, singing and dancing actor Hugh Jackman has signed up to appear on Broadway playing Harry Houdini in a new musical. And he's taking his role very seriously! He's even studying how to perform Houdini's magic acts. He'll need to be good, considering he'll have to perform the same tricks on stage eight times a week. The Australian has been receiving tips and help from great magicians such as Scott Sanders, a Tony Award-winning producer, is already on board as is Tony-nominated architect/set designer David Rockwell. The numbers are in! The Brits really like The Apprentice (U.K. version), but they don't give a fehk about Gossip Girl. In the 9:00pm slot, Apprentice averaged 8.11 million viewers while Gossip came in with a paltry 218,000 viewers - less than 1% of combined viewership for all programming Wednesday night. More people tuned in to watch Orangutan Diary, which swept up 1.89 million viewers, although one might argue that the two show are one and the same. [Image via WENN.] |

Robert Pattinson better step up his game and take a shower, because there's a new vampire hottie hot on his trail. Lost alum Ian Somerhalder is joining the cast of The CW's Vampire Diaries as Damon, "a smug vampire who can go from playful to evil in a split second." Like Gossip Girl, the series is being adapted from a series of books published by Alloy Entertainment. | Sacha Baron Cohen Uses Fake Production Companies To Lure Unsuspecting Victims To The Camera Posted: 26 Mar 2009 01:00 PM PDT
So that's how he did it! In order to spear new victims for his Bruno mockumentary, Sacha Baron Cohen first hired a crack team of lawyers and then created a bunch of phony production companies to help dupe Nazis and white supremacists into giving telling interviews. Chromium Films, Cold Stream Productions, and Coral Blue Productions are among some of the more than 31 fake companies. All of them link to the same phone number and address. Upon their discovery, many of the "companies" were shut down, and while it might anger some of the interviewees to realize they were taken for a ride, it's not Cohen's fault they're idiots!
