According to the new issue of In Touch, Usher had no idea that wife Tameka Foster had gone down to Brazil to get a little nip and tuck. So imagine his surprise when, as he was departing for a rehearsal for Clive Davis' pre-Grammy party, he got the call telling him that his wife had gone into cardiac arrest while going under for lipo. Usher immediately flew out to be at her side. Foster was released from the hospital - finally - on Monday. No one knows for sure why Usher's wife decided not to inform him of her surgical plans, whether it was intended as a special surprise or Tameka feared disapproval for leaving their sons at home. A Perezcious reader just clued us on the dirt Nick Lachey spilled about Lily Allen on Elvis Duran Z100 morning radio show on Wednesday. Lachey had the "honor" of introducing Lily at a recent radio concert in the Bahamas. Nick let Elvis & Co. know that the bratty Allen was completely "rude and standoffish" to him when asking backstage how she would prefer to be introduced! Why do we find this not hard to believe!!!! Michael Douglas wisely stayed far away from the Basic Instinct sequel, but the actor was reunited with his '90s co-star, Sharon Stone, on Tuesday night. The two attended the 11th annual Costume Designers Guild Awards held at the Four Seasons Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. Douglas was presented the Swarovski President's Award by Stone on stage. And, as usual, the Even Douglas was looking sharp, especially considering he's 64-years-old! We can't even begin to imagine how much money these two have spent on plastic surgery. However, according to Stone, she's all "natural." U think they've both had work done??? Wow, Kathy Griffin was looking good last night! Definitely not like her usual self. | Sherri Shepard Didn't Know That Co-Star And Neighbor Tracy Morgan Caused Apartment Fire Posted: 18 Feb 2009 06:45 PM CST
When The View's Sherri Shepard evacuated her New York apartment Wednesday morning, she had no idea that the fire that caused the building sprinklers to go off was TV husband Tracy Morgan's fault! In fact, it wasn't until Shepard spoke with OK! that she became aware of the fire's origins. The fire was sparked by a malfunctioning fish tank lamp, and while everyone was okay, there may be some extensive water damage from the sprinklers. But Sherri took it all in stride, saying, "My son has lung issues, so I'm kind of concerned about that. But I'm not pissed, I'm just glad everyone is okay. And I've got all my hair – all my wigs. I'm glad nobody got hurt. And if any clothes of mine got messed up, I'm sure Tracy will pay for them." We're sure Tracy can't wait for that bill! [Image via WENN.] |

Once again, Taylor Swift has the #1 album in America this week! The biggest selling artist of 2008 in the U.S., the country cutie is intent on global domination. And on Wednesday night, Joe Jonas' ex-girlfriend was in London. Taylor made her first appearance ever at the Brit Awards and looked quite lovely in this sparkly creation. Swift has been in the U.K. for a few days doing promo and will be in Europe for a while longer, before beginning her world tour in North America this Spring. It's hard work being successful! Back in 2005, CBS held a reality show competition titled Rock Star: INXS. They had 15 contestants compete to become the new lead singer of the Aussie rock band INXS. Canadian rocker Jason Dean Bennison, better known as J.D. Fortune, ended up winning the competition. Well, the singer is now out of the band and….homeless!!!!! Fortune spoke with Entertainment Tonight Canada yesterday about his current situation. He tells the TV show that he is back in Canada now and living out of his truck after being kicked out of INXS more than a year ago once they finished their international tour. He said, "I was in an airport in Hong Kong and literally got handshakes of `thank you very much.' I found myself really alone because I had travelled with these guys for 23 months. Some of the audiences we played for were upwards of 80,000 people." Part of his downward spiral seems to be linked to his "heavy use of cocaine" while he was in the band. He says, "It got as bad as it needed to be for me to numb out the fact that this was going to come to a screeching halt." So the once loser turned rock band lead singer and back to current loser now claims to be off the drugs and working hard on releasing his new solo album, The Death of a Motivational Speaker, which should be released this year. The Pet Shop Boys were honored with the Outstanding Contribution to Music Award at The Brits on Wednesday night and also performed a medley of their greatest hits. Joining them to sing the Dusty Springfield part on Nothing Has Been Proved was pop provocateur Lady GaGa.
